In Romania, homeless dogs are encountered almost everywhere. Because there are so many dogs, not all of them can be helped. So, animal welfare workers have to make choices every day about who needs help the most. Usually, all animal welfare workers have the same view that puppies should be helped if possible. Small puppies rarely survive without help, as they lack the skills and conditions to take care of themselves. So, when the workers at Care for Dogs heard about the small puppies that were abandoned in the spring of 2019, they rushed to get the puppies to safety. Since then, some of the puppies have been adopted elsewhere, but the shy Sky is still waiting at the shelter. Sky is understandably shy at the shelter. She has not seen the world outside the shelter and therefore all strangers and strange situations are exciting for her. In her familiar routine, Sky may come to follow people's activities to the other end of the cage, but as soon as the situation becomes too exciting, she disappears into her kennel for safety. She has always been very discreet and mostly hidden in her kennel at the shelter. The necessary care and handling have always gone smoothly. Sky has always gotten along well with other dogs at the shelter, and a lively dog friend is also an important help in a future home or foster home.

Romaniassa kodittomiin koiriin törmää lähes joka paikassa. Koska koiria on niin valtavat määrät, ei kaikkia yksinkertaisesti voi auttaa. Hän ei ole nähnyt maailmaa tarhan ulkopuolella ja siksi kaikki vieraat ja oudot tilanteet ovat hänestä jännittäviä. Tutussa arjessa Sky saattaa tulla seurailemaan ihmisten puuhia häkin toiseen päähän, mutta heti jos tilanne käy liian jännittäväksi hän häviää koppiinsa turvaan. Hän onkin tarhalla ollut aina kovin huomaamaton ja suurimmaksi osaksi piilossa kopissaan. Tarvittavat hoitotoimenpiteet ja käsittelyt ovat aina sujuneet rauhallisesti. Sky on tarhalla tullut aina erinomaisesti toimeen muiden koirien kanssa ja reipas koirakaveri onkin tärkeä apu myös tulevassa kodissa tai kotihoitopaikassa.
