Skyr is a small, sweet and energetic dog with a lot of emotions, but he has a hard time in the shelter and with the barking of other dogs. He came to the shelter with injuries on his hind leg and a torn ear, likely caused by another animal. It's possible that he was attacked by another dog, as he reacts with great fear when he sees dogs during walks. He becomes tense and starts barking, even if the dog is at a short distance. Skyr is initially wary of new people, but it doesn't last long - it takes just a moment and a few treats for him to start opening up. Once he trusts, he gives kisses, jumps on your lap and shows how much joy he has inside. He's everywhere then. Skyr is wild on the run - he runs, rolls and it's hard for him to find a moment to just lie down and rest. A lot of emotions are hidden in this small body, which he can't always handle. It also happens that he barks with fear at unfamiliar people on walks. At the beginning of the walk, Skyr pulls on the leash, but as soon as he leaves the shelter grounds, he starts walking on a loose leash and sniffing more. Traffic overwhelms him - in stress, he pulls on the leash and cuts himself off from the world a bit. That's why it's best for him to live in a relatively quiet area where the number of stimuli reaching him will be limited. In the rooms, he is also stressed at first. He circles, can't find a place for himself, listens to all the sounds and remains very alert. He needs time to feel safe. After a while, he can lie down next to a person on the couch or on their lap. He still observes the surroundings and listens, but he looks for support from the person. Skyr is looking for a home that will give him space and allow him to trust at his own pace. He needs peace, a predictable environment and a person who understands that Skyr has a lot of emotions that he doesn't know how to handle, and that calming down and feeling safe is what he needs the most.

Skyr to mały, słodki i energiczny psiak, który ma w sobie ogrom emocji, a jednocześnie bardzo źle znosi pobyt w schronisku i obecność szczekających psów. Do schroniska trafił z ranami na tylnej nodze oraz poszarpanym uchem – najprawdopodobniej była to sprawka innego zwierzęcia. Możliwe, że został zaatakowany przez innego psa, ponieważ na widok psów podczas spacerów reaguje dużym lękiem. Cały się spina i zaczyna szczekać, nawet jeśli pies znajduje się w niewielkiej odległości. Wobec nowych osób Skyr początkowo jest nieufny, ale nie trwa to długo – wystarczy chwila i kilka smaczków, by zaczął się otwierać. Kiedy już zaufa, rozdaje buziaki, ładuje się na kolana i pokazuje, jak wiele ma w sobie radości. Jest go wtedy wszędzie pełno. Na wybiegu Skyr szaleje – biega, tarza się i trudno mu znaleźć moment, w którym mógłby po prostu położyć się i odpocząć. W tym niewielkim ciałku kryje się ogrom emocji, z którymi nie zawsze potrafi sobie poradzić. Zdarza się również, że na spacerze szczeka ze strachu na mijanych, nieznajomych ludzi. Na początku spaceru Skyr ciągnie na smyczy, jednak gdy tylko znajdzie się poza terenem schroniska, zaczyna iść na luźnej smyczy i coraz więcej węszyć. Ruch uliczny bardzo go przytłacza – w stresie ciągnie na smyczy i trochę odcina się od świata. Dlatego najlepiej, aby zamieszkał w miarę spokojnej okolicy, w której liczba docierających do niego bodźców będzie ograniczona. W pomieszczeniach na początku również jest zestresowany. Po pewnym czasie potrafi jednak położyć się obok człowieka na kanapie albo na jego kolanach. Nadal wtedy obserwuje otoczenie i nasłuchuje, ale szuka wsparcia u człowieka. Skyr szuka domu, który da mu przestrzeń i pozwoli zaufać we własnym tempie. Potrzebuje spokoju, przewidywalnego otoczenia i człowieka, który zrozumie, że Skyr ma w sobie duże emocji, z którymi nie wie jak sobie poradzić, a wyciszenie i poczucie bezpieczeństwa to jest to czego mu najbardziej potrzeba.
