Starr February 24, 2021 In a few days, Tamara will be trimming Starr's hooves to a normal shape and stance. Consciously, we do a small trim every day, so that his legs can slowly adapt. Without much discomfort for him, the recovery is proceeding gradually. We can see that Starr is very young, and the advantage is that he adapts well! He rests just like Steff during his rehabilitation period. He likes to play with Steff and especially with Soef! Starr is mega in love with Sofietje. October 11, 2020 A tough day! Four castrations in one morning, and all except Starr had complications. It was a difficult time, but thankfully they are all well recovered. Thanks to the loving care of our volunteers. Starr came to us at the end of July 2020 after an emergency call on Facebook about a wounded donkey. With the permission of the police, we went to check on him immediately. He was living alone in a stable and had a huge wire wound on his hoof. He suffered a lot, and for a long period, without medical care. And as such a young donkey, Starr is about 1 year old now. It's a long road to recovery for our dear Starr, but he is looking forward to a positive future! He has been with the other donkeys, horses, and pigs in our Paddock Paradise since recently! This is going great, he is walking much better and is social and loving towards our other animals. We are so happy for him that his future looks positive! Starr 24 januari 2021 Om de paar dagen vijlt Tamara, Starr zijn hoef naar een normale vorm en stand. Bewust doen we elke dag een klein randje bijvijlen, zodat zijn benen zich langzaam kunnen aanpassen. Zonder dat hij hier veel ongemak van te krijgt het herstel gaat geleidelijk. We merken aan alles dat Starr erg jong is, het voordeel is dat hij zich goed aanpast! Hij rust net als Steff tijdens zijn revalidatie periode. Hij speelt graag met Steff en vooral ook met Soef! Starr is mega verliefd op Sofietje. 10 November 2020 Een heftige dag! 4 castraties in 1 ochtend en allemaal behalve Starr complicaties. Het was een vervelende tijd maar gelukkig zijn ze allemaal goed hersteld. Dankzij de liefdevolle zorg van onze vrijwilligers. Starr is eind juli 2020 bij ons binnengekomen na een Noodmelding op Facebook van een gewonde ezel. Met toestemming van de politie zijn we meteen gaan kijken. Hij leefde alleen in een stal en had een enorme draadwond op zijn hoef. Hij heeft heel erg veel en voor een lange periode pijn moeten lijden alleen zonder medische zorg. En dat als zo'n jong ezeltje, Starr is ongeveer 1 jaar nu. Het is een lange weg naar herstel voor onze lieve Starr, maar hij gaat een positieve toekomst tegemoet! Hij staat sinds kort bij de andere ezels, paarden en varkens in ons Paddock Paradise! Dit gaat hartstikke goed, hij loopt al veel beter en is sociaal en lief naar onze andere dieren.
