10-11-2025 Tania is a unique little dog. After a year of constant and patient work, we finally managed to get her to tolerate a collar and harness. She handles them well, so she's taking her first outdoor walks. Based on how she reacts outside, we believe she's never been out before. The world is completely new to her: she's afraid, but she masks it with boundless energy and infinite curiosity. It's as if she's discovering life for the first time after two years of not knowing what lies beyond her small environment. Tania relies heavily on her kennel companions; without them, she can't progress, so she needs to live with other dogs that help her feel safe. With people, she still holds back: she doesn't trust human contact and doesn't like being handled, and she needs to earn her trust with patience, respect, and food, little by little. She's not an easy dog, and the process has been long, more than a year, but we don't give up. We know that behind that fear lies a dog with an incredible desire to live and learn to trust. When she feels comfortable, her true personality emerges: a crazy goat. She's very active, playful, and sociable with other dogs, to the point that she can sometimes be insistent with them. She loves to jump, swim, dig, and play. She's an explosion of contained energy in a body that's still learning to unlock. Tania needs a family with a lot of experience with fearful dogs, a lot of patience, and at least another dog at home to serve as a reference. Ideally, it would be a quiet home with a garden, as life in a noisy city with stairs and elevators could be too stressful for her. We know her adoption isn't simple, but we continue to work every day to help her lose her fear and gain confidence. Because Tania deserves her chance, and we're sure that when her moment comes, she'll know how to give herself fully as only brave dogs can do. These four dogs named Punto were given this name because precisely at a point clean they were abandoned, as trash or old junk. They tore a hole in the fence of the enclosure, put the four inside, and sealed it with a plate so they couldn't escape. We don't know where they came from or what conditions they lived in. They are healthy and well-fed, showing no signs of physical abuse, but they lack socialization. Since they were in a municipality that has contracted our services for waste collection, we've taken them in at our animal shelter. They are quite scared, but in the few days they've been with us, they've already approached to ask for petting. The only one more fearful is Aveiro, who hides in her bedroom. TANIA is vaccinated and spayed, and her Leishmania analysis is negative, according to general analyses; there's no suspicion of Ehrlichia.

Los tolera bien, así que está dando sus primeros paseos en el exterior. Por cómo reacciona fuera, creemos que nunca antes había salido. El mundo le resulta completamente nuevo: tiene miedo, pero lo disfraza con una energía desbordante y curiosidad infinita. Es como si estuviera descubriendo la vida por primera vez, después de dos años sin conocer lo que hay más allá de su pequeño entorno. Tania se apoya mucho en sus compañeros de chenil; sin ellos le es inviable avanzar, por lo que necesita vivir con otros perros que la ayuden a sentirse segura. Con las personas aún mantiene sus reservas: no se fía del contacto humano ni le gusta ser manipulada, y hay que ganarse su confianza con paciencia, respeto y comida, poco a poco. No es una perra fácil, y el proceso ha sido largo más de un año, pero no nos rendimos. Sabemos que detrás de ese miedo hay una perra con muchísimas ganas de vivir y de aprender a confiar. Cuando se siente cómoda, aparece su verdadera personalidad: una cabra loca. Es muy activa, juguetona y sociable con otros perros, tanto que a veces puede resultar insistente con ellos. Le encanta saltar, nadar, escarbar y jugar. Es una explosión de energía contenida en un cuerpo que aún está aprendiendo a desbloquearse. Tania necesita una familia con mucha experiencia en perros miedosos, mucha paciencia, y mínimo otro perro en casa que le sirva de referente. Lo ideal sería un hogar tranquilo, con jardín, ya que la vida en ciudad ruidos, escaleras, ascensores podría resultarle demasiado estresante. Sabemos que su adopción no es sencilla, pero seguimos trabajando cada día para que pierda el miedo y gane confianza. Porque Tania merece su oportunidad, y estamos seguros de que, cuando llegue su momento, sabrá entregarse como solo los perros valientes saben hacerlo. ------------------------------------------------ A estos cuatro perros de apellido Punto, se llaman así porque precisamente en un punto limpio los abandonaron, como basura o trastos viejos. Abrieron un agujero en la malla del recinto, metieron a los cuatro y cerraron con una chapa para que no pudieran salir. No sabemos de dónde vinieron, ni en qué condiciones han vivido. Están sanos y bien alimentados, no tienen signos de maltrato físico, pero les falta socializar. Como fue en un municipio que tiene contratado con nosotros en servicio de recogida, los hemos acogido en nuestro albergue. Están bastante asustados, peo en los pocos días que llevan con nosotros, ya se acercan a pedir caricias. El único más miedoso es Aveiro que se esconde en su dormitorio.
