Nonnino – 12 years old: I don’t have much time left, yet when I entered that kennel, I still had my whole life ahead of me. I was just one year old, and today I am 12. I’m not the dog that catches everyone’s eye right away; I don’t have thick, long fur, and I don’t fit the idea of the “perfect” dog. But I have a quiet and delicate soul, and in all these years, I’ve never caused any problems. I’ve never barked or shown any aggressive gesture. Yet, I’ve never received the chance to step out of that kennel and experience the warmth of a family. But in my heart, I still hold onto the hope that that door might finally open.

Nonnino – 12 anni: Non ho più molto tempo, eppure quando sono entrato in quel box avevo ancora tutta la vita davanti a me. Avevo solo un anno, oggi ne ho 12. Non sono il cane che tutti notano subito, non ho un pelo folto e lungo, non corrispondo all’idea del cane “perfetto”. Ma ho un’anima silenziosa e delicata, e in tutti questi anni, non ho mai creato problemi. Mai un ringhio, mai un gesto aggressivo. Eppure non ho mai ricevuto in cambio la possibilità di uscire davvero da quel box e conoscere il calore di una famiglia. Ma nel mio cuore, conservo ancora la speranza che quella porta possa finalmente aprirsi.
