I’m Xora… a gentle, loving cat soul searching for a calm, forever home. Here’s the story: I was found injured—suffering from a multiple pelvic fracture and a femoral head fracture. It took me a long time to recover, and I had to relearn how to walk almost from scratch. Now, I’m ready for my new home—I’m once again very agile, move confidently around my cat room, and even jumping comes naturally to me now. At first, I was a very cautious and anxious cat—and you can still see that a bit in the photos. New situations and unfamiliar people can quickly make me uneasy, and at first, I tend to react with a bit of panic. But once I’ve built trust, I reveal my incredibly affectionate side: I’m very people-oriented, love cuddling, and thoroughly enjoy being close to my humans. Due to my past, I still often get startled by hands reaching down toward me. I also don’t like loud noises. I absolutely love treat games and happily engage in them. Another thing that’s especially important to me is having the company of another cat. From the very beginning, I’ve shown great interest in fellow felines here at the shelter, and during those first few days, I’d often only venture out of my hiding spot when I saw another cat. What I’m looking for… is a quiet, apartment-style home where at least one compatible (female) cat already lives. Ideally, it would be a gentle yet playful companion who’s about the same age as me or at most two years older. Ich bin Xora … eine sanfte, liebe Katzenseele auf der Suche nach einem ruhigen Für-immer-Zuhause. Das bin ich: Ich wurde verletzt gefunden, hatte eine multiple Beckenfraktur und eine Femurkopffraktur. Lange musste ich mich erholen und das Laufen praktisch neu lernen. Jetzt bin ich bereit für mein neues Zuhause – ich bin wieder sehr agil, bewege mich sicher in meiner Katzenstube und selbst Springen klappt inzwischen problemlos. Anfangs bin ich eine sehr vorsichtige und ängstliche Katze – das sieht man auch ein bisschen auf den Bildern. Neue Situationen und fremde Menschen können mich schnell verunsichern und ich reagiere zunächst etwas panisch. Wenn ich aber erstmal Vertrauen gefasst habe, zeige ich meine unglaublich liebevolle Seite: Ich bin sehr menschenbezogen, verschmust und genieße die Nähe zu meinen Menschen. Aufgrund meiner Vergangenheit erschrecke ich mich häufig noch vor Händen, die von oben auf mich zukommen. Auch laute Geräusche mag ich nicht. Leckerli-Spiele finde ich toll und beschäftige mich gern damit. Besonders wichtig ist mir außerdem die Gesellschaft einer anderen Katze. Von Anfang an habe ich hier im Tierheim großes Interesse an Artgenossen gezeigt und traute mich in den ersten Tagen oft nur aus meinem Versteck, wenn ich eine andere Katze sah. Ich wünsche mir … ein ruhiges Zuhause in Wohnungshaltung, in dem schon mindestens eine passende (weibliche) Katze lebt. Ideal wäre eine sanfte, aber verspielte Artgenossin, die etwa im gleichen Alter oder maximal zwei Jahre älter ist.
