It’s good to know, though, that my body needs a little extra care. I’ve got some early-stage osteoarthritis and a bit of spondylosis in my back. It also seems like I might have experienced something in the past—perhaps a car accident—which sometimes causes me to walk a bit differently. With the pain relief I’m getting now, I’m doing really well. It’s important that I continue this treatment for the rest of my life. Surgery isn’t necessary—it’s all about finding me a peaceful, loving home where I’m treated with care and understanding. Hoi, ik ben Chicago. Een knappe zwarte kater met felgele ogen – en ja, ik weet dat ik er indrukwekkend uitzie. Maar achter mijn stoere uiterlijk schuilt vooral een rustige, lieve jongen van 5 jaar oud die het liefst gewoon bij je in de buurt is. Ik ben geen wildebras, maar een relaxte huisgenoot. Af en toe een speelmomentje vind ik leuk, maar geef mij vooral maar knuffels en gezellig samen zijn. Een plekje naast je op de bank? Daar teken ik meteen voor. Wel is het goed om te weten dat mijn lichaam een klein beetje extra aandacht nodig heeft. Ik heb wat beginnende artrose en een plekje spondylose in mijn rug. Ook lijkt het alsof ik in het verleden misschien iets heb meegemaakt, zoals een aanrijding. Daardoor loop ik soms wat anders. Met de pijnstilling die ik nu krijg, doe ik het erg goed. Het is belangrijk dat ik dit levenslang krijg. Laat je daar niet door afschrikken, want ik ben vooral een ontzettend fijne, aanhankelijke kater die heel veel liefde te geven heeft. Ik zoek iemand die mijn rustige tempo waardeert en mij een warm mandje geeft waar ik helemaal mezelf mag zijn.De kosten voor de medicatie bedragen ongeveer € 45,- per maand.
