Country of origin: Hungary The lovely Amidala was found alone on a military base in Kecskemét on July 28, 2022. She was neither chipped nor missed by anyone. For almost 2 years, Amidala lived in the Menhely, also participated in the mentor program, but the highly sensitive dog was overwhelmed by the shelter stress, noise and hustle and bustle, which caused her to develop a severe kennel cough. Since March 2024, Amidala has been living with a foster family. Report from the private foster home in Hungary: "Amidala developed a severe kennel cough in the animal shelter, constantly ran in circles and deteriorated both mentally and physically. Upon arriving at the foster home, she finally calmed down, enjoys the family connection, the soft bed, the warmth and simply being out of the hustle, noise and stress that unfortunately come with shelter life. Amidala is people-oriented, friendly, needs and seeks the company of humans. She loves petting, especially belly rubs, going for walks, playing with a ball and when she has her 5 minutes and switches to turbo, she just enjoys her life. She is very obedient, eager to learn, always wants to do everything right and please. There are goats and sheep living at the foster home, which she politely leaves alone. She has already made acquaintances with horses, which worked well. Caution is needed with cats, even though she has made great progress there, they should rather not be in the new home. Moles, mice and lizards trigger her hunting instinct, but she is well responsive. Amidala lives with other dogs, which works well, but she needs to get to know the dogs in peace and see that they don't harm her. Her best friend is Potya, who also came to the foster home as an emergency from the Menhely. At the vet, she is super well-behaved. She loves car rides. She should be separated during the 'correct' feeding, but she is decent when distributing snacks. You can tell that with Amidala, one does not always mean well, and she is very sensitive: for example, a broom in hand scares her, as well as loud noises and thunderstorms. Amidala is housebroken. Amidala's new people must give her security and clear, but loving guidance, be patient and forward-looking, and understand and read dogs, then you have a wonderful and loyal companion." Herkunftsland: Ungarn Die hübsche Amidala wurde am 28.07.2022 allein auf einem Militärgelände bei Kecskemét gefunden. Sie war weder gechipt noch vermisste sie jemand. Fast 2 Jahre lebte Amidala anschliessend im Menhely, nahm auch am Mentorprogramm teil, doch der hochsensiblen Hündin setzte der Tierheimstress, der Lärm und die Hektik dermassen zu, dass sie einen schlimmen Zwingerkoller entwickelte. Seit März 2024 lebt Amidala auf einer Pflegestelle. Bericht aus der privaten Pflegestelle in Ungarn : "Amidala hatte im Tierheim einen schlimmen Zwingerkoller entwickelt, lief unentwegt im Kreis und baute auch psychisch wie physisch stark ab. Auf der Pflegestelle angekommen, kam sie endlich zur Ruhe, geniesst den Familienanschluss, das weiche Bettchen, die Wärme und einfach, dass sie raus aus der Hektik, dem Lärm und dem Stress ist, was das Tierheimleben leider so mit sich bringt. Amidala ist menschenbezogen, freundlich, braucht und sucht die Nähe der Zweibeiner. Sie liebt Streicheleinheiten, vor allem Bauchkraulen, spazieren gehen, mit dem Ball spielen und wenn sie ihre 5 Minuten hat und ihren Turbo einschaltet, freut sie sich einfach ihres Lebens. Sie ist sehr folgsam, gelehrig, möchte immer alles richtig machen und gefallen. Auf der Pflegestelle leben noch Ziegen und Schafe, welche sie brav in Ruhe lässt. Auch Bekanntschaft mit Pferden hat sie schon gemacht, auch das klappte gut. Mit Katzen muss man aufpassen, auch wenn sie da schon tolle Fortschritte gemacht hat, sollten die eher nicht im neuen Zuhause sein. Maulwurfhügel, Mäuse und Eidechsen wecken ihren Jagdinstinkt, sie ist aber gut ansprechbar. Amidala lebt mit anderen Hunden zusammen, was gut klappt, aber sie muss die Hunde in Ruhe kennenlernen und sehen, dass diese ihr nichts machen. Ihr bester Freund ist Potya, welcher auch als Notfall aus dem Menhely auf die Pflegestelle kam. Beim Tierarzt ist sie superbrav, Autofahren liebt sie. Bei der „richtigen“ Fütterung sollte sie getrennt sein, beim Snacks verteilen ist sie aber anständig. Man merkt auch, dass man es mit Amidala nicht immer gut meinte und sie einfach sehr sensibel ist: einen Besen in der Hand zum Beispiel, ängstigt sie, ebenso laute Geräusche und Gewitter. Amidala ist stubenrein. Amidalas neue Menschen müssen ihr Sicherheit und eine klare, aber liebevolle Führung geben, geduldig und vorausschauend sein und Hunde lesen und verstehen, dann hat man eine wunderbare und treue Gefährtin."
