Nous sommes débordées… 🙏 Published on September 4, 2024 by Brigit We are overwhelmed by requests for taking in stray cats and kittens, as well as abandonment requests… And we have been financially in the red for over a year. We therefore desperately need Foster Families. Our volunteers are constantly overwhelmed and exhausted (to put it mildly!) So if you want to help, you can start by doing this: Donate to the Drancy Cat School Become a volunteer for the association Share our posts on social media > Facebook / Instagram (X gave up on the matter…) Do not contact us about the following useless topics!!! We already have many cats and kittens waiting for intake at Drancy and we receive several SOS calls every day! It is absolutely unmanageable! So, a quick recap to read before contacting us: If you find a stray cat, you must first go to a veterinarian to check if the cat is microchipped (a free act), report the cat on Petalert, and see if the cat is not already reported as lost. Except in truly urgent cases (excluding abandonments and lost cats), we no longer take in cats outside of DRANCY. We do not have the means to manage all the requests within the commune either. So there is no need to contact us. Contact other nearby associations instead. If you wish to ABANDON your cat due to moving, allergies, or any other reason, know that we are not a shelter, and we are already fully booked. You must go to the SPCA or elsewhere and financially contribute to their care. Finally, if you wish to ADOPT, our adoption procedures are here: There is no need to write to us in the mode "I want a kitten to give away." We do not "give away for free" any cats or kittens! Be at least serious in your adoption process. Nous sommes débordées… 🙏 Publié le 4 septembre 20244 septembre 2024 par Brigit Nous sommes submergées par les demandes de prise en charge pour chats et chatons errants, par les demandes d’abandons aussi… Et nous sommes dans le rouge financièrement depuis plus d’un an. Nous manquons donc cruellement de Familles d’Accueil. Nos bénévoles sont en permanence débordées et fatiguées (pour ne pas dire épuisées!) Donc si vous voulez nous aider, vous pouvez commencer par ça : Faire un don à l’école du chat Drancy Devenir Bénévole pour l’association Partager nos post via les RS > Facebook / Instagram (X on a lâché l’affaire…) Ne pas nous contacter pour les sujets inutiles listés ci-dessous !!! Nous avons déjà de nombreux chats et chatons en attente de prise en charge sur Drancy et nous recevons plusieurs SOS, tous les jours ! Ce n’est absolument pas gérable ! Alors, petit récapitulatif à bien lire avant de nous contacter : Si vous trouvez un chat ERRANT, il faut d’abord aller vérifier chez un vétérinaire si le chat est identifié (acte gratuit), signaler le chat sur Petalert, et voir si ce chat n’est pas déjà signalé comme perdu Sauf cas vraiment URGENTS (hors abandons et chats perdus), nous ne prenons plus en charge de chats en dehors de DRANCY. Nous n’avons déjà pas les moyens de gérer toutes les demandes sur la commune même. Alors inutile de nous solliciter. Prenez plutôt contact avec d’autres association plus proches Si vous souhaitez ABANDONNER votre chat pour cause de déménagement, « allergie » ou autre, sachez que nous ne sommes pas un refuge, et nous sommes déjà archi complets, il faut aller à la SPA ou ailleurs… Et assumer votre abandon en participant financièrement à leur prise en charge Enfin, si vous souhaitez ADOPTER, nos modalités d’adoption sont ici : Inutile de nous écrire en mode « je veux un chaton à donner » On ne « donne gratuitement » aucun chat ou chaton !
