Elina’s story is one of resilience, trust, and a heart that never stopped loving, even when she had every reason to give up. Rescued from the streets with a severely injured front leg, she faced a painful start to life. The injury became dangerously infected, and amputation was the only way to save her. Thanks to the kindness of many people who came together for her, Elina received the surgery she needed, and from that moment on, everything changed. Today, Elina is fully recovered and thriving. She has adapted beautifully to life on three legs, moving around with confidence, ease, and a joyful energy that makes it impossible not to smile. Like many dogs who undergo amputation, she doesn’t see herself as different, she simply gets on with life, enjoying every moment to the fullest. What truly makes Elina special is her personality. She is incredibly affectionate and people-oriented, the kind of dog who will seek you out just to be close. She loves attention and isn’t shy about asking for it, whether that’s gently leaning into you, following you around, or hopping up to say hello. Physical closeness and human connection mean everything to her, and she will happily spend her days by your side, soaking up every bit of love she can get. Elina is also wonderfully social. She gets along well with other dogs and is comfortable around cats, making her a great fit for a variety of homes. She has a friendly, easygoing nature and integrates well into her surroundings, as long as she has people to bond with. While she enjoys the company of other animals, it’s clear that her biggest happiness comes from her relationship with humans. She has a playful side too, with a cheerful, youthful energy that brings life into any space she’s in. Whether she’s exploring her environment, engaging with other dogs, or simply enjoying a bit of fun, Elina carries a lightness and joy that reflects just how far she’s come. Because of everything she’s been through, Elina would do best in a home where she will receive plenty of attention, care, and companionship.
