A kind lady approached us with a situation to resolve. Two years ago, unfortunately, their long-time dog friend died, and since then, cats have started appearing. First, there was one, then more, altogether thirteen. The lady cared about the animals, so she fed them every day, but she could not handle them anymore. All of them are unneutered and kittens are sick, plus it has been freezing. We went to the place and first provided the lady with polystyrene huts, which the cats apparently appreciated a lot. We agreed that we would neuter four adult cats - three girls and one fluffy tomcat, and then return them to the place, as they would be unhappy in the shelter. The kittens cannot go outside, all of them are sick, the youngest Rue is just two months old, the oldest Cassie and Ethan are around seven or eight months old. So on Sunday, we went on a capture action, but on Friday it snowed and temperatures below zero could be fatal for the kittens. From the original plan to lure the cats into the hallway and catch them there, only three were caught in the end, but the girls were quite trusting and with some effort, we finally caught all 13 at once. Ethan was previously very shy, the most wild of the group of březiněveských cats. Over time, however, he got used to it. Today, he allows himself to be petted, scratched on his back. He rubs against our legs during feeding. He just wants to find a patient owner who would give him a chance to fully tame.

Ozvala se nám hodná paní, která pro nás měla situaci na vyřešení. Před dvěma lety jim bohužel zemřel dlouholetý psí kamarád a od té doby se začaly objevovat kočky. Napřed to byla jedna, pak přibyly další, celkem třináct kusů. Paní na zvířatech záleželo, tak kočičky každý den krmila, ale dál už si s nimi nevěděla rady. Všechny jsou nekastrované a koťátka nemocná, navíc padl mráz. Byli jsme se na místo podívat a nejdřív paní poskytli polystyrénové boudičky, které kočičky prý hodně ocenily. Domluvili jsme se, že čtyři dospělé kočky - tři holky a jeden huňatý kocourek, vykastrujeme a pak vrátíme na místo, v útulku by byly nešťastné. Koťátka ale ven nemůžou, všechny do jednoho jsou nemocná, nejmladší Rue jsou čerstvě dva měsíce, nejstarší Cassie a Ethanovi bude kolem sedmi nebo osmi měsíců. V neděli jsme se tedy vydali do akce na odchyt, v pátek napadl sníh a teploty pod nulou by mohla být pro koťátka fatální. Z původního plánu nalákat kočičky do předsíně a tam pochytat se nakonec chytly jen tři, ale holky byly dost důvěřivé a s trochou snahy jsme nakonec chytli všech 13 najednou. Ethan byl dříve hodně plachý, nejdivočejší ze skupiny březiněveských koček. Postupem času si ale zvykl. Dnes už se nechá hladit, podrbat na zádech. Otírá se nám i o nohy při krmení. Chtěl by akorát najít trpělivého pána, co by mu dal šanci se plně ochočit.
