He absolutely loves playing, especially with soft toys and rope toys, and can get rather enthusiastic about his favourites. He can be a little grumbly when something makes him uncomfortable, particularly during vet handling, so his new family will need to continue helping him build positive associations with ne situations and environments. He currently needs to be muzzled for veterinary examinations. He is confident and happy when out exploring, enjoys meeting other dogs and is relaxed around traffic. He even hops straight into the car like a seasoned traveller! Hugo has lots of character, plenty of love to give and a serious appreciation for a good game of tug. With patient adopters who can give him the right support, Hugo will make a very special little companion. Meet Hugo, a very handsome French Bulldog with a big love for life! He is an affectionate boy who enjoys his people, his toys and plenty of attention. He would be best suited to a home with secondary school-aged children, as he can be a little unsure when meeting new people and has grumbled a little when nervous. Hugo is a real social butterfly when it comes to other dogs and could potentially live with a calm, compatible canine companion following a successful introduction. Hugo would appreciate a private garden to let off some steam without any interrupted visitors, and we'd recommend a baby gate or closed door to help him manage arrivals calmly and avoid greetings at the door. He also has shown some separation anxiety, so his alone time will need to be introduced very slowly as he settles into his new home.
