Rescued from the streets as a puppy, Lara spent her entire life in a boarding kennel. She was safe, but she missed out on the love, security and experiences that help a young dog grow into a confident companion. When our friend Ivka asked us to welcome Lara to Hope, we knew she deserved the opportunity to discover what life could really be like. Lara is naturally timid and is still learning that people can be trusted. With gentle handling and plenty of patience, she is beginning to relax, her confidence is slowly growing, and she is learning new skills, including walking on a lead.
