The owner of MADONA passed away and left 4 dogs with no family. The animals were her only family and were very well cared for and loved. They used to sleep in the owner's bed. Today, they are all seniors and end up in a shelter with 700 animals. It's heartbreaking. They are all extremely scared. They hide behind each other. They don't understand where the owner is because she doesn't come to get them. This is the biggest fear for many animal owners: passing away and leaving their animals to end up in a dog shelter or an animal rescue association. MADONA is the least scared of the 4. She accepts our treats but gets very tense, poor thing. She needs a special family with lots of experience and patience to help her regain her zest for life.
