She thrives on mental stimulation and training games and enjoys learning new things (including paddle boarding!). While she can find some situations a little overwhelming at first, she builds confidence with the right guidance and forms strong bonds with her people. She’d suit a household with a family from secondary school–aged or above who can enjoy her playful and energetic nature to the full. She’d benefit from owners who are patient and willing to continue her training and confidence building, helping her feel secure and supported as she settles into her new home. Maisy will need to be the only pet in the home, however is able to build friendships with other dogs on walks gradually. Maisy needs to wear a muzzle on her walks. A secure private garden is important for her to safely enjoy her space and zoom to her hearts content. She settles well when left in a crate and can manage being alone for short periods once she’s comfortable.
