Marina’s story did not begin with neglect. She once had a young owner who loved her very much and tried hard to protect her. Sadly, circumstances around them became increasingly difficult. There were complaints from neighbours, threats were made against the dogs, and the situation became unbearable. Marina’s owner, who was only 20 years old, later died by suicide. Suddenly, Marina had lost the person who had cared for her and stood by her. With no one left to look after her, she eventually found herself in the shelter in Gradiška.
