Nicki had to be taken to the animal shelter because her owner moved to a nursing home and no one stepped forward to take in the cat. Nicki was initially extremely standoffish and blocked every attempt to approach her. Now she is a little more relaxed and is making slow progress. The move to the animal shelter was certainly a traumatic experience for the sensitive kitten, and it will take a lot of love and patience before she can fully trust someone again. We are looking for a quiet home for Nicki without young children. She feels comfortable as a single cat, but she also coexists peacefully with her fellow animals, provided they are not intrusive.

Nicki musste ins Tierheim, weil ihre Besitzerin ins Pflegeheim umgezogen ist und sich niemand bereiterklärt hatte, die Katze zu übernehmen. Nicki war anfangs extrem abweisend und hat jeden Annäherungsversuch unsererseits abgeblockt. Inzwischen ist sie ein wenig entspannter und macht langsam Fortschritte. Der Umzug ins Tierheim war für die sensible Kätzin sicher ein traumatisches Erlebnis und bis sie wieder vollends jemandem ihr Vertrauen schenken kann, wird es noch viel Liebe und Geduld brauchen. Wir suchen für Nicki ein ruhiges Zuhause, ohne Kleinkinder. Sie fühlt sich als Einzelkatze wohl, koexistiert aber auch mit ihren Artgenossen friedlich, sofern sie ihr gegenüber nicht aufdringlich sind.
