20-09-26 Oak is a sweet, shy little lady who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is feeling quite overwhelmed at the moment however, once she gets to know you, she will give you a lovely little tail wag, and she is an easy girl to handle. These little moments are so precious and show us that there is a gentle girl underneath her worries who is slowly learning to trust. Oak loves the company of other dogs and takes a lot of comfort and reassurance from having them around. She will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home to be her friend and help take her under their wing as she learns about her new life. Having a confident doggy companion by her side will help Oak to feel safe and give her the reassurance she needs while she settles. She is looking for a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience of scared ex-breeding dogs and understand that she will need plenty of time and patience. Her new family will need to allow Oak to settle in at her own pace and gently encourage her as she begins to discover the joys of home life. We would consider homing her with kind, understanding teenagers aged 16+. Oak has never lived in a home before, so everything will be new to her. Her adopters will need to be patient and understanding as she learns about home life, including house training and all the new sights, sounds and routines that come with living in a family home. She will also need to learn how to walk on a lead and harness, practicing first around the home and garden. Oak is a gentle little girl who just needs someone to give her the time and reassurance she deserves. With a kind doggy friend, a quiet home and adopters who will let her progress at her own pace, we hope she will soon grow in confidence and discover just how lovely life can be. Oak has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
