Osa – our gentle little “bear” looking for her forever family On Friday one of our newer, younger volunteers visited the Cieza facility for the first time… and within minutes he told us he’d completely fallen in love with Osa. Honestly, we weren’t surprised — she has that effect on people. He also took this amazing photo of her, and we think it captures her beautiful, gentle nature perfectly. Osa (which means “bear” in Spanish) is one of those very special dogs who seems perfect for almost any home. She’s: Easy and relaxed to walk Doesn’t pull on the lead Very obedient Good with children Great with other dogs Gentle, affectionate and calm She’s also a real volunteer favourite — the kind of dog everyone hopes to take out for a walk. Sadly, very few volunteers are able to visit the Cieza facility, so it was really lovely to hear that a couple of the dogs there managed to get a walk on Friday. Moments like that mean the world to them. But what Osa really needs is a family of her own — somewhere warm, loving and permanent where she can finally leave the shelter behind.
