8 years: When I arrived at our shelter, I had a severe infection that had caused me to lose all my fur, and my skin had completely shriveled. I didn't look very good, and people either avoided me out of fear or because of a lack of understanding. The infection was finally defeated, and it's just a bad memory now, but I continue to fight against a more silent and less visible enemy, leishmaniasis. Thanks to the care, therapies, and continuous attention from the volunteers at our shelter, despite everything I've been through, I've even learned to trust people again.

8 anni: Quando sono arrivata al Rifugio, avevo una grave rogna che mi aveva fatto perdere tutto il pelo, e la mia pelle si era completamente raggrinzita. Non avevo un bello aspetto, e le persone o per paura o per ignoranza mi allontanavano. La rogna mi è stata finalmente debellata, ed è solo un brutto ricordo, ma continuo a combattere contro un male più silenzioso e meno visibile, la Leishmaniosi. Grazie alle cure, alle terapie e alle attenzioni continue dei volontari del rifugio, nonostante tutto quello che ha passato, sono tornata anche a fidarmi delle persone.
