Meet Sydney – A Gentle Greyhound Looking for His Forever Home Sydney is a handsome 3-year-old Greyhound weighing 35kg who is searching for a loving home after retiring from the demanding world of greyhound racing. Having spent his early years in racing kennels, it is unlikely that Sydney has ever lived in a home environment, and his level of house training is currently unknown. Like many ex-racing Greyhounds, he will need patience, understanding, and guidance as he adjusts to family life. When meeting new people, Sydney can initially seem reserved and distant. However, once you earn his trust and become part of his circle, he reveals his true nature: a gentle, affectionate, and loving companion who enjoys being close to those he cares about. Sydney is an athletic and intelligent boy who loves to play and enjoys having a good chase with other dogs in a secure area. He walks beautifully on the lead and enjoys his daily outings, but like most Greyhounds, he is equally happy relaxing and snoozing in a comfortable spot. He would thrive in a quiet, caring home where he can finally enjoy the comforts and security he deserves. Because of his racing background, Sydney cannot live with cats, small dogs, or other small animals, as he is likely to chase them. However, he could happily share his home with one or more medium to large dogs.
