Tiwaz was at a breeding site in a city area near construction. She was wary and took time to let herself be caught. When she was finally caught, she had a nasty respiratory infection that was treated. Since then, she has been doing well. She has already made a lot of progress but remains generally very discreet. She is much less shy and fearful thanks to the socialization work in her foster family, which allows her to gradually reveal herself and show her character and personality. She has difficulty asserting herself against other cats with whom she cohabits, but she loves the contact with them when the understanding is good. She is always clinging to her friend, Canelle, also in foster care. She has gotten into the habit of avoiding caresses and contact. This may come one day, but her future family will have to accept this and not look for a cuddly cat that comes to ask for physical interactions. She is the kind of girl with whom you enjoy life by sharing the same living space, as well as moments of complicity and play, but without caresses and cuddles. She is satisfied with cuddles with other cats, that's fine for her and you have to respect her preferences. This does not prevent trying interactions since it is possible that one day she will have a breakthrough that makes her appreciate human caresses, but never imposing or putting pressure on her to become cuddly. A calm environment with one or two other cat(s) would be ideal for her. It will have to be without access to the outside because she remains very timid, or with a secure access, like she currently has with a catio in her foster family that allows her to go sunbathing.

Tiwaz était sur un site de prolifération dans une zone en ville proche de travaux. Maline et méfiante, elle a mis du temps à se laisser attraper. Quand elle a enfin été attrapée, elle avait une vilaine infection respiratoire qui a été soignée. Depuis, elle va bien. Elle a déjà fait beaucoup de progrès mais elle reste globalement très discrète. Elle est beaucoup moins timide et peureuse grâce au travail de sociabilisation dans sa famille d’accueil qui lui permet de se dévoiler au fur et à mesure, et de nous montrer son caractère et sa personnalité. Elle a du mal à s’imposer face aux autres chats avec lesquels elle cohabite, mais adoooore le contact avec eux quand l’entente se fait bien. Elle est tout le temps collée à sa copine, Canelle, également en famille d’accueil. Elle a pris l’habitude d’éviter les caresses et le contact. Cela viendra peut-être un jour mais il faudra que sa future famille accepte cela et ne cherche pas un chat câlin qui vient réclamer des interactions physiques. C’est le genre de minette avec qui on profite de la vie en partageant le même espace de vie, ainsi que des moments de complicité et de jeu, mais sans caresses et câlins. Elle se satisfait sur le plan câlins avec les autres chats, ça lui convient comme ça et il faut respecter ses préférences. Cela n’empêche pas de tenter des interactions puisqu’il se peut qu’un jour elle ait un déclic qui lui fait apprécier les caresses des humains, mais sans jamais imposer ni lui mettre la pression pour qu’elle devienne câline. Un environnement calme, avec un ou deux autre(s) chat(s) serait idéal pour elle. Il faudra que ce soit sans accès à l’extérieur car elle reste très trouillarde, ou bien un accès sécurisé, comme elle a actuellement avec un catio chez sa famille d’accueil qui lui permet d’aller faire des bains de soleil.
