Venom is a very gentle but also lively and energetic young dog! Like many dogs of his breed, he can quickly become excited and tends to jump a lot. He is a friendly and playful pup who will need regular opportunities to burn off energy throughout the day to calm down and find balance. At the shelter, he has developed a small habit of carrying his crate around in his kennel. We are not yet sure if he will do the same with other objects once in a home! Venom will need to learn to manage his loneliness step by step. The noisy and stressful environment of the shelter does not help him find the calm he needs. He gets easily excited in the presence of other dogs, whether when he encounters them on walks or facing their kennels. We do not yet fully understand his interactions with other animals of the same species, but individual tests can be conducted as needed. This young dog has a somewhat rough personality, so we will avoid placing him in a home with young children for safety reasons. However, a family with teenagers might be a better match for him. Venom needs an adopter who is motivated, capable of providing a clear structure and plenty of activities to channel his overflowing energy. He is looking forward to his new home with impatience, as you can imagine, patience is not yet one of his strong points! To adopt Venom, you will need a dog owner competency certification as well as liability insurance.

« Venom » est un tout jeune chien très gentil mais aussi vif et plein d’énergie ! Comme beaucoup de chiens de sa race il peut monter rapidement en excitation et a tendance à beaucoup sauter. C’est un loulou sympa et joueur qui aura besoin de pouvoir se dépenser régulièrement dans la journée pour s’apaiser et retrouver un équilibre. Au refuge il a développé une petite manie à trimbaler sa panière partout dans son box. On ne sait pas encore s’il fera la même chose avec d’autres objets une fois en maison ! Venom devra apprendre à gérer la solitude pas à pas. L’environnement du refuge bruyant et stressant ne l’aide pas à trouver l’apaisement dont il a besoin. Il s’excite facilement en présence des autres chiens que ce soit lorsqu’il les croise en balade ou face aux box. Nous ne connaissons pas bien encore ses ententes avec ses congénères mais des tests pourront être réalisés au cas par cas. Ce jeune chien a un caractère un peu brut nous éviterons donc par précaution de le placer dans un foyer avec de jeunes enfants. En revanche, une famille avec des adolescents pourrait mieux lui convenir. Venom a besoin d’un adoptant motivé, capable de lui offrir un cadre clair et beaucoup d’activités pour canaliser son énergie débordante. Il vous attend avec impatience car comme vous l’aurez compris la patience ce n’est pas encore son point fort ! Pour pouvoir adopter Venom il faudra avoir une attestation d’aptitude chiens de catégories ainsi qu’une assurance responsabilité civile.
