I am a confident, friendly and loving girl with a sassy side! Hello, my name is Winter I came into the sanctuary in November last year after I was rescued by a caring family who were concerned for my welfare. Sadly I was being attacked by entire males and was very scared of them so they took me into their home for safety. I was not microchipped or spayed. Unfortunately the family were not able to keep me so they reached out to the sanctuary for help. Once I settled in when I first arrived, I really came out of my shell and showed everyone what a sweet, affectionate girl I am, with a healthy dose of sass and cheekiness too! I definitely know what I want and like things my own way. I enjoy affection, mostly on my terms, but I absolutely love a good head rub. I’ll politely let you know when I’ve had enough mainly with a grumble or an occasional nip! I can be quite chatty, especially around mealtimes, and I’m not shy about asking for what I want. Yes, I can be a bit demanding! I’m also very nosey and love to know what’s going on around me, particularly if food is involved. My new humans will need to be mindful around food, as I can be a greedy girl. I use a slow-feeder bowl and puzzle feeders to help slow me down and keep me mentally stimulated. I would enjoy these in my new home too. I’m still a young girl and love to play, enjoying most toys and interactive games. I did find a home in early February, but sadly I have recently returned to the sanctuary. I wasn’t quite the right match for the other cat in the home, and we struggled to settle together despite my adopters doing their very best to help us make it work. Because of this, it was decided it would be in everyone’s best interest for me to come back to the sanctuary and try again to find the right home.My recent adopters said that aside from the issues with the other cat, I settled in really well and was a lovely girl. I enjoyed snuggles in bed and had lots of fun playing with all the toys they kindly got for me.Hopefully I can find my forever home soon, where I can settle in and stay for good. I could live with sensible older children aged 12 and over, but I wouldn’t be comfortable in a home with younger children. I’m a confident girl, and while I can enjoy the company of cats I know, I didn’t get along with a cat in my previous home as I was a bit too much for him as he was quite submissive. I have recently mixed with another young cat called Kya and we get on great and play together but equally give each other space! We could happily live together. My carer does not want me to come back again if it doesnt work out with another cat in my next home. I am a good girl with most cats and would just need a cat that isnt scared of me and will tell me off! Im not nasty at all. I am just confident and playful. My carers will be happy to chat with potential adopters to make sure I find the perfect match, as I am really hoping for a loving, lasting home for me.I have met one of the friendly dogs at the sanctuary and wasn’t too bothered, just slightly wary but very curious. I could adapt well to sharing a home with a calm, cat-friendly dog.I would enjoy outdoor access once I have settled in a new home. This would mean at least 8 weeks strictly indoors to settle and and bond with my new humans before exploring outside. During the first 8 weeks of settling I will need to be kept away from any doors leading straight outdoors when humans are coming in and out on the chance of me trying to escape as I am quite quick through doors! A large catio or cat proofed garden would also be a suitable and safe alternative.If you think you can provide me with a loving home and meet my rehoming criteria then please complete the adoption form!
