Hi everyone, I am Carey and I came to YCR after I was found as a stray in a garden with my kittens. I am now looking for my furever home and I have my very timid paws crossed it's with you. Life has been a little overwhelming for me and as a result I am extremely nervous around people. When I am frightened I may hiss or swipe to create space and protect myself, but this behaviour comes from fear rather than aggression. I am not the type of cat who will immediately seek affection or enjoy being handled. I need an understanding owner who is willing to work at my pace, respect my boundaries, and accept that trust may take a very long time to build. I may be happiest living primarily outdoors once I am settled and benefit from an environment where I can choose how much interaction I have with people. Due to my nature I would like a home with no dogs or children and no other cats. The lovely ladies here at YCR will explain everything to you.
