Nawet jego paznokcie mają długie włoski! To nie pierwszy raz, gdy Drago jest w schronisku, już wcześniej był u nas z powodu niezdrożności rodziny, ale ostatnim razem wciąż przyszli go zabrać. Tym razem nie, a Drago został całkowicie połamany w schronisku, z domu (nie najlepszego, ale wciąż domu) do samotnej klatki, Drago upadł w szok. Po przyzwyczajeniu się do nowej rzeczywistości, Drago nie miał wyboru, tylko wyjść ze swojej muszli i cieszyć się tym, co zostało - uwagą opiekunów, spacerami z wolontariuszami, jednym biegiem w parku dziennie. Wydaje się, że coś traumującego wydarzyło się z Dragiem związane z paskiem – nie wiemy, co zostało zrobione, ani co się stało, ale on strach przed paskami. Pozwala ci założyć pas bardzo spokojnie, bardzo cicho, bardzo grzeczny chłopak, ale jeśli wyciągniesz pasek, chce uciec lub zginąć. To bardzo smutne, ale okej, będzie świetnie z dobrym paskiem! Drago spaceruje bardzo dobrze za psem, szczególnie w środowisku, które zna, i pozostaje przy Tobie jak dobry chłopak. W nowej stresowej sytuacji, takiej jak nagły przejazd z schroniska do miasta z obcymi, może porwać trochę, z powodu niepewności. Skacze bardzo ładnie do samochodu i w mieście nie reaguje na innych ludzi, samochody, dzieci, ale wygląda neutralnie na tych stresorach. No cóż, pochodzi z napiętego środowiska domowego z wieloma członkami rodziny i głośnym otoczeniem, więc musiał być przyzwyczajony. Na spacerach Drago nie reaguje na większość psów i idzie spokojnie, może szczekać na niektóre bardziej reaktywne lub dominujące psy, ale w tym samym czasie spaceruje również z innym społecznym mężczyzną. Drago lubi przekąski, przyjdzie do Ciebie, usiądzie, stanie, poda łapkę i szczeka na przekąskę. Drago grzecznie towarzyszy Ci do kawiarni bez żądania niczego od Ciebie, chyba że jasno oferujesz mu coś. Choć zwykle spaceruje spokojnie i cicho, może też po prostu z powodu smutku, a gdy zrozumie, że kochasz go i jesteś tu, aby się nim zajmować, rozświetla się i zaczyna świętować radośniejszymi biegami i oferując swoje tyłek, byś mógł go pocierać! Szukamy dla Dragiego stabilnego, spokojnego domu z ustalonymi codziennymi rutynami i aktywnościami, więc nie będzie musiał ponownie przeżywać chaosu i dramatu w życiu. Dom z wykształconymi dziećmi może być w porządku, ponieważ jest doświadczone z dziećmi, a Drago byłby również szczęśliwy z różnymi scenariuszami, takimi jak mieszkanie w mieszkaniu lub domu, oczywiście jak dla większości psów, ogród byłby niezwykle słodki. Is he a Schnauzer? Is he an Amstaff? He’s a Schnaustaff! Our unique long-haired Amstaff boy, with majestic moustache, making sure you’ll give Drago a second look! Even he’s toes have long hairs! This is not Drago’s first time in the shelter, he has already been with us once due to the carelessness of the family, but the last time they still came to pick him up. This time not anymore and Drago was left absolutely heartbroken in the shelter, from a home (not a good one, but still) to a lonely kennel, Drago shut down from the shock. After starting to get used to his new reality, Drago had no choice but to come out of his shell and enjoy the little that he has left to enjoy - the attention of te caretakers, the walks with the volunteers, the one run in the park a day. It seems that something traumatizing has happened with Drago involving a collar - we do not know what has been done or what has happened but he is terrified of collars. He lets you put on a harness so calmly, so quietly, a very polite boy, but if you pull out a collar, he wants to run or his life. This is very sad, but okey, he will be perfectly fine with a good harness as well! Drago walks very well on the leash especially in an environment that he is familiar with, and stays by your side like a good boy. In a new stressy situation, like suddenly going from the shelter to the town with strangers, he can pull a bit, from the stress of unknown. He jumps very nicely into the car and in the town he does not react to other people, cars, children but stays seemingly neutral about such stressors. Well, he is coming from a stressy home enviroment with many family members and a loud surrounding, so he must be used to this. On his walks, Drago does not react to most dogs and just walks by calmly, he can bark at some more reactive or dominant dogs, but at the same time, he also goes walking with another social male dog. Drago loves to snack, he will come to you, sit, stand, give paw and bark for a treat. Drago will politely accompany you to a cafeteria without demanding anything from you, unless you clearly offer something to him. While he usually walks calmly and quietly, maybe also just because he is sad, then when he realises that you love him and are there to take care of him, he brightens up and starts to celebrate with joyful sprints and offering his behind for you to scratch! For Drago we are looking for a stable, calm home with set daily routines and activities all together, so he would not have to experience chaos and drama in his life again. A home with eduated children could be fine, as he is experienced with children already, and Drago would also be happy with different scenarios like living in an apartment or a house, of course like for most dogs, a garden would be heavenly. Drago LOVES to cool his body in a pool, and rub himself on the edge of the doggie pool, we verymuch wish for him a home with a little pool in the backyard or maybe a possibiity to go swimming in a lake, river or seaside…. His shoulder height is 58cm.
