Arlo and Nelly are both friendly, playful dogs who enjoy each other’s company and get a lot of support and comfort from each other. Arlo Arlo is a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely loves cuddles and attention. He enjoys his daily walks, although Nelly is the more energetic one, who can keep going for miles! He is more nervous than Nelly and hates being separated from her, so he will benefit from being in a home where someone is around much of the time. Inside the home, Arlo can have accidents – this is usually related to being separated from Nelly and we would expect this to be easy to manage in a home where someone can give him the consistent support he needs. Nelly Nelly is an easy-going, happy girl who adores everyone she meets — people, dogs, and especially food! She enjoys long daily walks and needs at least an hour of exercise each day. She is the boss of the pair and is fed separately from Arlo because she will try and eat his food as well as her own otherwise. She loves to curl up on the sofa at the end of the day with her special people and is a lovely, affectionate girl. Currently the dogs sleep separately at night, with Nelly in a crate and Arlo in a pen in the kitchen, a routine that originally began while she was in season and simply continued afterwards. She would likely be perfectly happy sharing a space with Arlo. Both dogs can be barky towards strange dogs when outside, in particular Arlo wants to protect Nelly. They could both benefit from some lead training and we can provide behaviourist support if needed. Both dogs are in good health and can be left on occasion for up to four hours.
