Trixie to bardzo miła pani, która do nas trafiła z hodowcy w poszukiwaniu nowego początku. Choć jej ogon ciągle się kołysze, cicho podchodzi do delikatnego głaskania i tends do tego, by odstawać i obserwować z odległości, dopóki nie poczuje się bezpiecznie. Gdy nawiąże zaufanie, jest przyjazna i lubi przytuliny i delikatne głaskanie. W opiece wykazała się nerwową dziewczyną w nowych środowiskach, która nadal potrzebuje zachęty, by angażować się z nowymi ludźmi. Często staje na tylnych łapach i obserwuje, ale gdy czuje się bardziej pewnie, zbliża się do interakcji i cieszy się głaskaniem i uwagą ze strony opiekunów. Mimo że nadal jest nerwową dziewczyną, nie lubi dzielić swojego domu z innymi psami, więc uważamy, że będzie najszczęśliwsza jako jedyny pies w swoim nowym domu. Choć znajduje się w opiece razem z innymi psami, może być zazdrosna, gdy opiekun pokazuje uwagę innym psom, a czasem reaguje na nich. Jest w porządku z socializacją z spokojnymi psami, ale może reagować negatywnie na psa szczekającego lub głośnego, albo psa, który jest zbyt blisko lub zbyt gwałtowny. Dlatego uważamy, że będzie najlepiej podporządkowana domowi dla dorosłych, gdzie opiekunowie mają doświadczenie w opiece nad nerwowymi psami z hodowli. Spotkała kocury dobrze, ale z powodu tendencji do zazdrości nie będziemy ją przypasowywać do domu z kocurami. W ogrodzie wykazała objawy kopania i wcześniej próbowała uciec z domu opiekunów, dlatego niezbędne są bardzo bezpieczne granice. Trixie is an amazing little lady who came to us from a breeder. She found kennel life quite overwhelming at first and took some time to settle in, but she has gradually grown in confidence and is now beginning to let her wonderful personality shine. Once Trixie learns to trust you, she becomes incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than being close to her favourite people. She will happily climb into your lap for cuddles and enjoys soaking up as much attention as possible. Trixie spent some time in a foster home, where she began to experience life in a home environment. This helped to build her confidence and allowed her to start learning that the world isn't such a scary place. Despite the progress she has made, she will still need time to adjust and would much prefer a calm, quiet home without too much hustle and bustle, allowing her to settle at her own pace and build a strong bond with her new family. Trixie has returned to the rescue after we discovered that she would be happiest as the only dog in the home. Since returning, it has been lovely to see her personality continue to blossom. She enjoys spending time with other dogs in the yard and gets very excited to see her canine friends each day. She is happy to socialise with calm dogs while out and about, but within the home she can become jealous when attention is shared and has occasionally reacted towards other dogs. For this reason, Trixie will need a home where she is the only pet, with no resident dogs or cats. She will also need an adult-only home with adopters who understand the needs of ex-breeding dogs and can give her the time, patience, and one-to-one attention she truly deserves. In the garden, she displayed digging behaviours and has previously tried to escape a foster home, so very secure boundaries are essential. Her new home will need to have 6ft minimum fencing height and her new adopters will need to keep her on lead in the garden until she gains confidence outside. Trixie had been mostly clean in the house in her foster home, and seemed to be a star at toilet training. However, she may need some reminders in her new home as she settles in new surroundings. She is walking on a lead and harness, but can still become startled and may try to back out if frightened. She has had a small lump removed from her left mammary gland and is recovering well. She has a travel document.
