Meet a real warrior... a new life. Achilles is four years old and came to our animal shelter straight from the street. His past remains a mystery, but one thing is certain - the name he received perfectly reflects his character. This is a dog in which true strength, determination, and a warrior's spirit lie dormant. Like the mythic Achilles, he has also gone through his battles, and the traces of them are visible to the naked eye. He arrived at the animal shelter badly neglected - both health-wise and emotionally. Currently, he is recovering from an orthopedic operation and is convalescing in the shelter's hospital. Despite difficult experiences, Achilles hasn't lost hope. Every day he greets with a huge dose of energy and desire for life. This is a wild dog, thirsty for contact with humans. He recognizes his volunteers from afar - he starts vocalizing, as if saying, "Notice me, I'm here!" On walks, he can bark at fellow sufferers, but with regular work and patience, he has a chance to learn better manners; he has made great progress already. He knows the basics - he walks on a leash like a home dog. Sometimes, however, his behavior still echoes the neglect from the past. He can cower at the sight of an upraised hand, although there is no trace of aggression towards humans in him, and Achilles is increasingly finding his way in the new realities. There is still a long road ahead for this six-year-old to achieve full comfort and peace, but we believe he has already stepped onto it. The greatest help he could receive now is a home - a real, permanent one, under the careful care of a person who understands his needs and allows him to feel safe. The relationship with children and cats has not yet been verified. If you want to become his guide, Achilles will gladly start a new chapter of his story with you - this time without battles, but full of tenderness, closeness, and peace. Poznaj prawdziwego wojownika… o nowe życie. Achilles ma cztery lata i trafił do naszego schroniska prosto z ulicy. Jego przeszłość pozostaje tajemnicą, ale jedno jest pewne – imię, które otrzymał, doskonale oddaje jego charakter. To pies, w którym drzemie prawdziwa siła, determinacja i duch wojownika. Jak mityczny Achilles, on również przeszedł przez swoje bitwy, a ślady po nich widać gołym okiem. Do schroniska trafił mocno zaniedbany – zarówno zdrowotnie, jak i emocjonalnie. Obecnie jest po zabiegu ortopedycznym, dochodzi do siebie w schroniskowym szpitalu. Mimo trudnych doświadczeń Achilles nie stracił nadziei. Każdy dzień wita z ogromną dawką energii i chęci do życia. To pies żywiołowy, spragniony kontaktu z człowiekiem. Swoich wolontariuszy poznaje z daleka – zaczyna wokalizować, jakby chciał powiedzieć: „Zauważ mnie, jestem tutaj!”. Na spacerach potrafi obszczekać współtowarzyszy niedoli ale przy regularnej pracy i cierpliwości ma szansę nauczyć się lepszych manier, już zrobił ogromne postępy. Podstawy już zna - na smyczy chodzi niczym pies domowy. Czasami jednak w jego zachowaniu wciąż odbija się zaniedbanie z przeszłości. Potrafi skulić się na widok podniesionej ręki, choć nie ma w nim cienia agresji do człowieka i Achilles coraz lepiej odnajduje się w nowych realiach. Przed szóstkowiczem jeszcze długa droga do pełnego komfortu i spokoju, ale wierzymy, że już na nią wkroczył. Największą pomocą, jaką mógłby teraz otrzymać, jest dom – taki prawdziwy, stały, pod troskliwą opieką człowieka, który zrozumie jego potrzeby i pozwoli mu poczuć się bezpiecznie. Stosunek do dzieci i kotów nie został jeszcze zweryfikowany.
