Ashana is a beautiful female dog – yet beauty does not prevent a sad life behind bars and concrete. Behind her lies the hell of the Horror Shelter in Suraia, marked by fear, illness, and cruelty. Fortunately, we were able to rescue her along with about 30 other dogs from there – now she is in our private shelter in Fantanele, safe. Sometimes it takes just one look at a life to understand how much has been lost. Ashana is now approximately 10 years old. Ten years in which she barely got to experience what is naturally common for other dogs. Ten years in which she could not live in security. And yet, she carries all of this with quiet strength. That is why we sincerely wish that her life may finally begin. Ashana is a generally friendly female dog who, understandably, shows a reserved nature but is not closed off. Given time, she opens up and allows closeness at her own pace. Even cuddles are possible in such moments, even though she herself has not yet actively approached people. She rehomed but gives the impression that she wants to build trust – she had simply never had the opportunity to learn this. She gets along well with other dogs and currently lives problemlessly with two female dogs in the yard. We estimate her shoulder height to be around 50 cm with a weight of about 20 kg. Her age is barely noticeable: her longer, soft fur is predominantly white with warm brown tones that give her a particularly gentle and noble appearance. For Ashana, we are searching for a home where she no longer has to function but simply can be. She should be allowed to arrive in a relaxed manner, given time and love, and be spoiled again. Not lying on cold concrete, but having a warm dog bed. What is important is that her new people are aware that everything will be new for her: daily routines, walks, house training, and most importantly, the feeling of truly being welcome. After a positive match, Ashana's last years should not be spent behind bars. Who will let her become part of your family? A foster home would also be a valuable gift. Hinter ihr liegt die Hölle in Gestalt des Horror-Shelters in Suraia, geprägt von Angst, Krankheit und Misshandlung. Zum Glück konnten wir sie gemeinsam mit rund 30 anderen Hunden von dort retten – jetzt ist sie in unserem privaten Shelter in Fantanele in Sicherheit. Manchmal braucht es nur einen Blick auf ein Leben, um zu verstehen, wie viel es verloren hat. Ashana ist inzwischen ca. 10 Jahre alt. Zehn Jahre, in denen sie kaum etwas kennenlernen durfte, was für andere Hunde selbstverständlich ist. Zehn Jahre, die sie nicht in Geborgenheit verbringen konnte. Und doch trägt sie all das mit stiller Stärke. Gerade deshalb wünscht man ihr von Herzen, dass jetzt endlich ihr Leben beginnen darf. Ashana ist eine durchweg freundliche Hündin, die sich verständlicherweise bisher zurückhaltend zeigt, aber keineswegs verschlossen ist. Gibt man ihr Zeit, öffnet sie sich und lässt Nähe in ihrem Tempo zu. Auch Streicheleinheiten sind in solchen Momenten möglich, auch wenn sie selbst noch nicht aktiv auf Menschen zugeht. Sie vermittelt aber durchaus den Eindruck, dass sie Vertrauen fassen möchte – sie hatte bisher nur nie die Gelegenheit, dies zu lernen. Mit anderen Hunden versteht sie sich gut und lebt aktuell problemlos mit zwei Hündinnen zusammen im Zwinger. Wir schätzen ihre Schulterhöhe auf rund 50 cm bei einem Gewicht von etwa 20 kg. Ihr Alter ist ihr kaum anzusehen: Ihr längeres, weiches Fell ist überwiegend weiß und von warmen Brauntönen durchzogen, die ihr ein besonders sanftes und edles Aussehen verleihen. Für Ashana suchen wir ein Zuhause, in dem sie nicht mehr funktionieren muss, sondern einfach nur sein darf. Man sollte sie entspannt ankommen lassen, ihr Zeit und Liebe schenken und sie noch einmal so richtig verwöhnen. Nicht mehr auf kaltem Beton liegen, sondern ein warmes Körbchen haben. Wichtig ist nur, dass ihren neuen Menschen bewusst ist, dass alles neu für sie sein wird: Alltagsabläufe, Spaziergänge, Stubenreinheit und vor allem das Gefühl, wirklich willkommen zu sein. Nach einer positiven Vorkontrolle und der Übernahme einer Schutzgebühr reist Ashana kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt, entfloht und mit einem EU-Heimtierausweis. Ashana soll ihre letzten Jahre nicht hinter Gittern verbringen. Wer lässt sie Teil seiner Familie werden? Auch eine Pflegestelle wäre ein wertvolles Geschenk.
