His story: The little bear with the big heart is searching for his Forever Home. BÄRty had barely any chance: Without our rescue, he would have been killed at the public shelter in Zalau – a place where too many dogs live in fear and hopelessness. But BÄRty had luck. Now he lives in a Romanian foster home and is waiting to finally travel to a loving home. With his fluffy, dark fur and his loyal eyes, BÄRty reminds a little teddy bear – hence the name. But not only visually is he a real treasure. In the foster home, BÄRty shows himself to be very people-oriented, friendly, and clingy. He loves being stroked and actively seeks the company of humans. While he is generally pleasant and not overexcited, he can be quite calm. Spontaneous walks are already mastered well on a leash, but of course, he still needs some training to become a confident everyday companion. BÄRty gets along well with other dogs; compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. Due to his appearance, we assume that BÄRty is a mixed breed of a hunting dog. BÄRty might still be in the final stages of puberty – a phase that can confuse young dogs a lot. What worked yesterday seems to be forgotten today. Boundaries are tested, rules are questioned, and sometimes hearing is "accidentally" ignored. This phase requires new owners above all three things: patience, humor, and consistency. BÄRty is not yet familiar with environmental influences, house training, and being left alone – he still needs to learn the whole dog ABC. His new family should be ready to go this path together, ideally with the support of a positively working dog training class. BÄRty is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Of course, he also brings an EU pet passport. Bärty hatte kaum eine Chance: Ohne unsere Rettung wäre er im öffentlichen Shelter von Zalau getötet worden – einem Ort, an dem viel zu viele Hunde in Angst und Hoffnungslosigkeit leben. Doch Bärty hatte Glück. Jetzt lebt er in einer rumänischen Pflegestelle und wartet darauf, endlich in ein liebevolles Zuhause reisen zu dürfen. Mit seinem wuscheligen, dunklen Fell und seinen treuen Augen erinnert Bärty ein bisschen an einen kleinen Teddybären – daher wahrscheinlich auch sein Name. Doch nicht nur optisch ist er ein echter Schatz. Bärty zeigt sich in der Pflegestelle als sehr menschenbezogen, freundlich und anhänglich. Er liebt es, gestreichelt zu werden und sucht aktiv die Nähe zum Menschen. Dabei ist er angenehm ruhig und nicht überdreht. Spaziergänge meistert er schon gut an der Leine, braucht aber natürlich noch etwas Training, um ein souveräner Alltagsbegleiter zu werden. Mit anderen Hunden ist Bärty gut verträglich, die Verträglichkeit mit Katzen wurde bisher noch nicht getestet. Aufgrund seines Aussehens gehen wir davon aus, dass Bärty ein Hütehund-Mischling ist. Bärty ggf. noch in den Endzügen seiner Pubertät – einer Phase, die für junge Hunde einiges durcheinanderbringen kann. Was gestern noch geklappt hat, scheint heute plötzlich vergessen. Grenzen werden getestet, Regeln hinterfragt und das Gehör lässt manchmal ganz „zufällig“ nach. Diese Zeit erfordert von den neuen Besitzern vor allem drei Dinge: Geduld, Humor und Konsequenz. Umwelteinflüsse, Stubenreinheit und das Alleinbleiben kennt Bärty noch nicht – er muss noch das ganze Hunde-Einmaleins lernen. Seine neue Familie sollte bereit sein, diesen Weg gemeinsam mit ihm zu gehen, idealerweise mit Unterstützung durch eine positiv arbeitende Hundeschule. Bärty ist kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht. Selbstverständlich bringt er auch einen EU-Heimtierausweis mit. Nach einer positiven Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro kann er in ein neues Leben starten. Auch über eine Pflegestelle würden wir uns sehr freuen – Bärty hätte es so verdient.
