Kater Beurnie grew up during the coronavirus pandemic. In those crucial early weeks, he had very little contact with people. As a result, he hasn’t been properly socialized. Beurnie received too little guidance and support as he matured into adulthood. He’s afraid of everything and everyone. He blows himself up with sheer intensity just to keep the caregivers at Anima’s Faith foundation at the right distance. And Beurnie also finds all the other cats in the group scary. He can’t make any friends—not yet. Poor Beurnie is starting to realize, though, that life here isn’t so bad after all. Sometimes he’ll even let a bowl of wet food be placed just 30 centimeters away from him—and then he stops blowing up (or at least, he doesn’t blow up anymore). For Beurnie, that’s already a step in the right direction. It’s clear, though, that this young tomcat still has a lot to learn before he can start enjoying his life. Beurnie needs an owner with angelic patience—and a safe haven where he can learn to trust at his own pace. Beurnie will be placed as an indoor cat. Kater Beurnie is opgegroeid in de coronatijd. Heeft in die belangrijke jonge weken weinig contact gehad met mensen. Hij is niet goed gesocialiseerd. Beurnie heeft te weinig begeleiding gekregen tijdens zijn groei tot volwassenheid. Hij is bang voor alles en iedereen. Hij blaast zich helemaal suf om de verzorgers hier bij stichting Anima’s Faith op de juiste afstand te houden. En Beurnie vindt alle katten in de groep ook maar eng. Hij kan geen vriendjes maken, nog niet. Arme Beurnie begint wel door te krijgen dat het hier toch niet zo verkeerd is. Hij laat soms een bakje natvoer zomaar 30 cm van hem vandaan neerzetten. En dan blaast hij niet (meer)… Dat is voor Beurnie al een stap in de goede richting. Het is wel duidelijk dat deze jonge kater nog een heleboel moet leren om van zijn leven te gaan genieten. Beurnie heeft een baasje nodig met een engelengeduld. En een veilige haven waar hij op zijn eigen tempo kan gaan leren vertrouwen. Beurnie wordt geplaatst als binnenkat.
