Hello, we are "Sammy" (about 36 years old) and "Ludwig" (about 26 years old), two male Blaustirnamazonen - we love flying and have a lot of fun doing it! We are an inseparable team, we groom each other and provide support. We are one heart and one soul and must absolutely not be separated. Neither of us can live without the other. We could imagine living in a small group with other (preferably male) Amazons. We are not hand-tamed, but we always seek the closeness of our caretakers. We take treats carefully from the hand, but we don’t like being touched or petted. We especially enjoy a small piece of cooked potato or pasta - we would almost do anything for that, even take medicine without any trouble. We also love to chew, so we are happy with fresh branches, cork, cardboard, and varied toys. Our health condition is good: we have been tested negative five times, recently had a thorough avian examination, and both have microchips. Sammy did have Aspergillosis in the past, but it was successfully treated. To prevent it, good humidity is particularly important. We are indoor birds and currently live in a large heated parrot room and can go into our outdoor aviary when the weather is suitable. Daily free flight is very important to us; we enjoy it for several hours a day - we would wish for the same in our new home. Our current caretakers take loving care of us, but due to their advanced age, they are already looking for a loving home with experienced private parrot owners where we can continue to live happily and securely together forever. Financially, we will not be a burden to the new caretakers; everything is arranged by our current caretakers. A perfect home would be in Bavaria. Hallo, wir sind "Sammy" (ca. 36 Jahre) und "Ludwig" (ca. 26 Jahre), zwei männliche Blaustirnamazonen - wir lieben es zu fliegen und haben dabei richtig Spaß! Wir sind ein unzertrennliches Team, kraulen uns gegenseitig und geben uns Halt. Wir sind ein Herz und eine Seele und dürfen auf keinen Fall getrennt werdern. Keiner kann ohne den anderen. In einer kleinen Gruppe mit anderen (möglichst männlichen) Amazonen zu leben, könnten wir uns aber gut vorstellen. Wir sind nicht handzahm, suchen jedoch immer die Nähe unserer Halter. Leckerlis nehmen wir vorsichtig aus der Hand, mögen jedoch nicht angefasst oder gestreichelt zu werden. Ganz besonders freuen wir uns über ein kleines Stückchen gekochte Kartoffel oder Nudel - dafür machen wir fast alles, sogar Medizin nehmen wir damit problemlos. Außerdem lieben wir es zu knabbern, deshalb freuen wir uns über frische Äste, Kork, Pappe und abwechslungsreiches Spielzeug. Unser Gesundheitszustand ist gut: wir sind 5-fach negativ getestet, wurden vor Kurzem gründlich vogelkundig untersucht und sind beide gechipt. Sammy hatte früher zwar Aspergillose, die aber erfolgreich behandelt wurde. Um dem vorzubeugen, ist gute Luftfeuchtigkeit besonders wichtig. Wir sind reine Wohnungsvögel und leben derzeit in einem großen beheizten Papageienzimmer und dürfen bei passendem Wetter auch in unsere Außenvoliere. Unser täglicher Freiflug ist uns sehr wichtig, den genießen wir mehrere Stunden am Tag - all das würden wir uns auch in unserem neuen Zuhause wünschen. Unsere Halter kümmern sich derzeit liebevoll um uns, möchten aber wegen ihres fortgeschrittenen Alters schon jezt nach einem liebevollen Zuhause bei erfahrenen privaten Papageienhaltern Ausschau halten, in dem wir für immer gemeinsam weiterhin glücklich und geborrgen leben dürfen. Finanziell fallen wir den neuen Haltern nicht zur Last, das ist durch unsere jetzigen Halter alles geregelt. Perfekt währe ein Zuhause in Bayern.
