This is Boeffie, a beautiful girl with a gray-white coat. Her birthdate is April 19, 2018. She was brought to our shelter as a relinquished animal. Boeffie is very sensitive to changes, noise, and unpredictability. Her stress level then increases and her appetite decreases. We are looking for a golden home for her in a quiet house where stability, routine, and structure are part of the daily routine. One or a maximum of two adult, patient residents and no other animals or much commotion in the house are best for her. Soft voice and calm movements have a positive influence on socialization. We will place her as an indoor cat to minimize other stress stimuli. Hiding places will be a must for her, from where she can feel safe and from there build a basis of trust. High places are often preferred by many cats to be able to observe everything around them. Scratching posts and small (prey) toys can help her to discharge energy or built-up stress. This also applies to many cats. She is currently given kibble and wet food. A nice daily combination. She has wet food with a restorative function because she eats less well due to stress. Her kibble is from Hills adult. This is also alternated with Whiskas, not our first choice, but better to eat what she likes than not to eat. We notice that when she calms down after changes, she eats better. The daily changes within our shelter of people, environment, or sounds are not pleasant for Boeffie. She finds it very exciting. Dit is Boeffie, een knappe meid met een vacht in de kleuren grijs-wit. Haar geboortedatum is 19 april 2018. Zij is als afstandsdier bij ons in de opvang gekomen. Boeffie is super gevoelig voor veranderingen, drukte en onvoorspelbaarheid. Haar stressniveau schiet dan omhoog en haar eetlust gaat omlaag. Voor haar zijn wij op zoek naar een gouden mand in een rustig huisje waar stabiliteit, regelmaat en structuur onderdeel zijn van de dagelijkse routine. Eén of maximaal 2 volwassen geduldige bewoners en géén andere dieren of veel reuring in huis zijn voor haar het meest passend. Zacht stemgebruik en rustige bewegingen hebben positieve invloed op de socialisatie. We gaan haar als binnenkat plaatsen om andere stressprikkels te minimaliseren. Schuilplekjes zullen een must voor haar zijn, van waaruit ze zich veilig kan voelen en van daaruit een basis van vertrouwen kan opbouwen. Hoger gelegen plekjes zijn vaak favoriet bij veel katten om alles om zich heen te kunnen observeren. Krabpalen en kleine (prooi) speeltjes kunnen haar helpen in het ontladen van energie of opgebouwde stress. Ook dit geldt voor veel katten. Momenteel krijgt ze brokjes en natvoer. Een mooie dagelijkse combi. Ze heeft natvoer met een herstellende functie omdat ze door stress minder goed eet. Haar brokjes zijn van Hills adult. Dit wordt ook afgewisseld met Whiskas, niet onze 1e keuze, maar beter wel eten wat ze lust dan niet eten. We merken wel dat ze als ze na veranderingen weer wat tot rust komt beter gaat eten. De dagelijkse veranderingen binnen onze opvang van mensen, omgeving of geluiden zijn voor Boeffie niet aangenaam. Ze vindt het erg spannend allemaal.
