male drop-off/cat suitable for apartment living Born in 2014 BKH-Mix neutered [x] yes / [] no Boniface has been in the animal shelter since 24.02.2026 ________________________ We test every cat with a quick test for FIV ("Cat AIDS", more info here!) and FeLV ("Cat Leukemia", more info here!) and clarify the status. We inform about the risk of FIP (""Belly Inflammation""). ________________________ Together with 14 other cats, including some pregnant ones, Boniface came from an animal hoarding case. They lived together with a person in a flat surrounded by their own trash. Fortunately, they were divided among several organizations, and in the end, seven tomcats and one cat remained with us. Boniface was the oldest tomcat in the group and was marked by conflicts with many other young, unneutered kittens. He is somewhat reserved and appears grumpy, but seems to be slowly blossoming with his new life. He still doesn't like to cuddle, but enjoys human proximity and is becoming more relaxed and open. He reacts very positively to cat contact, and we believe he would make a good companion for a more quiet and very social female cat. Boniface has chronic eye problems, likely due to a childhood cat cold that never healed. He copes well and should be given eye ointment if needed, as long as it doesn't stress him too much. He knows only suitable for apartment living and should ideally move back into such environments, but a secure balcony would make him very happy. We believe that Boniface will be clingy and very happy in a real home and hope that he will soon have this happiness! ________________________ (As of 29.04.2026) (Click images to view in full size!) männlich Abgabetier/eher Wohnungshaltung Geboren 2014 BKH-Mix Kastriert ja / [] nein Im Tierheim seit 24.02.2026 ________________________ Wir testen jede Katze per Schnelltest auf FIV („Katzen-Aids“, Infos hier!) und FeLV („Katzen-Leukose“, Infos hier!) und klären über den Status auf. Wir informieren hier über das Risiko einer FIP-Erkrankung („Bauchfellentzündung“). ________________________ Gemeinsam mit 14 weiteren Katzen, darunter einige tragend, stammt Boniface aus eine Animal-Hoarding-Fall. Sie hatten gemeinsam mit einer Person in einer Wohnung im eigenen Unrat gelebt. Glücklicherweise konnten sie auf verschiedene Vereine aufgeteilt werden, bei uns sind letztlich sieben Kater und eine Katze geblieben. Boniface war der deutlich älteste Kater der Gruppe und war von den Revierkonflikten mit vielen anderen jungen, unkastrierten Katern gekennzeichnet. Er ist etwas zurückhaltend und wirkt grummelig, scheint aber angesichts seines neuen Lebens langsam richtig aufzublühen. Er kuschelt noch nicht gerne, genießt aber menschliche Nähe und wird immer entspannter und aufgeschlossener. Er reagiert sehr positiv auf Katzenkontakt, am besten können wir uns als Gesellschaft für eine eher ruhige und sehr soziale Katzendame vorstellen. Boniface hat chronische Augenprobleme, vermutlich aufgrund einer jugendlichen Katzenschnupfenerkrankung, die nie ausgeheilt ist. Er kommt gut zurecht und sollte bei Bedarf Augensalbe bekommen, solange es ihn nicht zu sehr stresst. Er kennt nur Wohnungshaltung und sollte idealerweise gerne wieder in ebensolche ziehen, ein sicherer Balkon würde ihn aber sehr freuen. Wir glauben, dass Boniface in einem richtigen Zuhause sehr anhänglich und glücklich sein wird und hoffen sehr, dass ihm dieses Glück bald zuteil werden wird! ________________________ (Stand 29.04.2026) (Bilder anklicken um sie in voller Größe zu sehen!)
