Choupette had to learn, unfortunately, what it feels like to be left behind: Her owners simply checked out one night and left her behind. Choupette was allowed to enjoy a run around the place before they left, and even though she was let out to roam, hardly any responsibility was taken for her well-being. Despite this start, Choupette shows herself to be surprisingly relaxed and composed, very much a typical cat. However, she does not fit the stereotype of the "constant cuddle cat." Choupette is independent and decides very clearly when closeness suits her—and when it does not. She likes to go her own way and expects her people to respect her boundaries above all else. For Choupette, we are looking for a home without children and without other cats, where she can be an individual cat. A run around the place is important for her, as she has known it since she was young and will continue to demand it. Her new people should understand that Choupette is not a cat for constant company or constant cuddling, but a companion with a strong character. For those who value a quiet, independent cat and want to offer her a safe, responsible home, Choupette is a sovereign companion who will accompany her people in her own unique way. This cat needs outdoor access.

Choupette hat leider erfahren müssen, wie sich im Stich gelassen werden anfühlt: Ihre Besitzer sind eines Nachts einfach ausgezogen und haben sie zurückgelassen. Choupette durfte zuvor Freigang genießen und wurde sogar rollig nach draußen gelassen – Verantwortung für ihr Wohlergehen wurde dabei kaum übernommen. Trotz dieses Starts zeigt sich Choupette bei uns erstaunlich entspannt und gelassen, ganz rassetypisch. Allerdings entspricht sie nicht dem Klischee der „ständigen Kuschelkatze“. Choupette ist eigenwillig, selbstständig und entscheidet sehr klar selbst, wann Nähe für sie passt – und wann nicht. Sie geht gern ihren eigenen Weg und erwartet von ihren Menschen vor allem Respekt für ihre Grenzen. Für Choupette suchen wir ein kinderloses Zuhause ohne andere Katzen, in dem sie Einzelkatze sein darf. Freigang ist für sie wichtig, da sie diesen von klein auf kennt und auch weiterhin einfordern wird. Ihre neuen Menschen sollten Verständnis dafür haben, dass Choupette keine Katze für Dauerbeschäftigung oder ständiges Schmusen ist, sondern eine Gefährtin mit starkem Charakter. Wer eine ruhige, unabhängige Katze schätzt und ihr ein sicheres, verantwortungsvolles Zuhause bieten möchte, findet in Choupette eine souveräne Begleiterin, die ihren Menschen auf ihre ganz eigene Art begleitet.
