Clive does get excited and can be strong on the lead and despite his size, he sometimes thinks he’s a small breed and likes to jump up! His new family will need to continue working on this through ongoing, positive training. He is enjoying being in a foster home and loving all the home comforts, but now needs to find his forever home. Clive is an almost 8 year old Golden Doodle looking for a calm, understanding adult-only home. Clive is a lovely, dog social boy and would enjoy having doggy friends out and about, however - he may prefer to be the only dog in the home. He has also been good around livestock previously. Clive can be nervous in new environments and just needs time to settle and build up his confidence. He has previously been left for long periods, and his new home will need to be build being left up gradually, and he would ideally have someone around for most of the day for company. Clive is quite independent and he does like his own safe space where he can relax undisturbed. His new family will need to respect his space, particularly when he is resting or sleeping. With patience, consistency and understanding, Clive will make a wonderful companion for the right home.
