COSME — PUDDLES, ZOOMIES & A VERY GOOD BOY! Cosme is one of those dogs who patiently waits for his turn. He watches the other dogs head off for their walks, knowing that eventually someone will come for him too. And when they do… his lovely personality comes alive! Volunteer Amy says: “Cosme is absolutely beautiful. He patiently waits his turn to be walked. He loves puddles and got the zoomies yesterday playing in them! He’s playful, doesn’t pull on the lead and likes to stop for a stroke and to be told he’s a good boy.” We love that image of a once very nervous Cosme suddenly getting the puddle zoomies! And recently Michelle gave us another lovely update: “Cosme is doing really well now and is starting to play with all the dogs he meets. He’s not as nervous going out with different volunteers anymore, as he loves his walks and meeting the other dogs. He would definitely do so much better in a home with another dog. He’s turned out to be a very lovely boy.” What a transformation! Cosme was once so nervous of the outside world, but little by little his confidence has grown. Now he’s enjoying different volunteers, making doggy friends, playing, splashing in puddles and even getting the zoomies! Cosme is around 26.5kg, castrated and gets on well with other dogs. In fact, we now think another friendly dog in his new home could be just what he needs to help him continue to blossom. He does have Leishmania, which is controlled with an inexpensive daily tablet. And there’s another bit of good news — Cosme already has €100 sponsorship towards his adoption costs! He doesn’t ask for much. A nice walk, a puddle or two, another dog to play with, a stroke along the way and, most importantly, someone to tell him… “Good boy, Cosme.” Now we need someone who’ll be there to say it to him every single day.
