Kallax came to us as a found animal and, unfortunately, no one was looking for him. The little guy had severely narrowed ear canals, so we decided to perform surgery to widen them. We hope that this will prevent him from experiencing any more ear problems in the future. Unfortunately, in rabbits of the Widdern breed, this is a health issue that is genetically linked to breeding. However, Kallax bravely endured it all and took his medication like a champ. Otherwise, he’s a sweet little fellow who enjoys a quick petting now and then. So far, he gets along well with the other rabbits and has accepted his place in the hierarchy. Kallax kam als Fundtier zu uns und wurde leider nicht vermisst. Der kleine Kerl hatte stark verengte Gehörgänge, sodass wir uns für eine OP entschieden, um die Gehörgänge zu erweitern. Wir hoffen, dass er dadurch in Zukunft keine Probleme mehr mit den Ohren bekommen wird. Leider ist dies bei Widdern ein zuchtbedingtes gesundheitliches Problem. Kallax hat das alles aber brav ertragen und super seine Medikamente genommen. Auch sonst ist er ein süßer Fratz, der sich auch gerne mal kurz streicheln lässt.Bisher ist er mit den anderen Kaninchen gut verträglich und ordnet sich in der Rangordnung unter.
