Kobie é um Staffordshire Bull Terrier cruzado incrivelmente atraente que tem 8 anos e está prestes a completar seu 4º ano em Kennels. Ele chegou a Freshfields no final de 2021, sem culpa própria e tem estado conosco desde então, vendo seus amigos encontrar lares para sempre e se perguntando quando será sua vez. Kobie é extremamente brincalhão e carinhoso, cheio de energia e vida e se sente igualmente bem correndo atrás de uma bola quanto ficando deitado e se agarrando a você no sofá... algo que ele e seus voluntários adoram fazer todos os dias. Um grande amante de caminhadas e sol, Kobie o acompanhará para fora pelos campos tranquilos e longas estradas. Assim que estiver sem coleira em um espaço seguro e fechado, ele correrá feliz e ansiosamente atrás de bolas de tênis e brinquedos, correndo ao redor com um grande sorriso bobo no rosto. Nunca houve problemas com posse de comida ou brinquedos, ele está totalmente treinado para ir ao banheiro e é um garoto inteligente que escuta e age com positividade com comandos básicos. Kobie pode ser desconfiado de estranhos e pessoas que não conhece, o que às vezes o faz ficar muito excitado e pular, mas, com a ajuda de nosso comportamentalista e aceitação total de uma coleira, isso melhorou enormemente. Se ele encontrar outros cães durante uma caminhada, seu principal objetivo é apenas passar por eles, embora ele possa reagir a eles, significando que ele precisará ser o único animal de estimação na casa e não ter animais visitantes. O lar perfeito para Kobie precisa ser um ambiente tranquilo, sem animais ou crianças, com um dono experiente que esteja em casa a maioria do tempo. Alguém paciente, confiante e com uma natureza calma e carinhosa que simplesmente quer um "melhor amigo" seria ideal. Kobie is a stunningly handsome Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who is 8 years old and fast approaching his 4th year in Kennels. He found his way to Freshfields at the end of 2021, through no fault of his own and has been here with us ever since, watching his friends find forever homes and wondering when it will be his turn. Kobie is incredibly playful and affectionate, full of energy and life and is equally at home running around chasing a ball as much as lounging about and cuddling up next to you on a couch…something he and his volunteers love doing every day. A massive lover of walks and sunshine, Kobie will accompany you out along quiet fields, and long lanes. Once off his lead in an enclosed safe space, he will happily and eagerly chase after tennis balls and toys, bounding around with a big goofy smile on his face. There have never been any issues with food or toy guarding, he is fully toilet trained, and he is a clever boy who listens and acts with positivity to basic commands. Kobie can be wary of strangers and people he does not know, which causes him to sometimes become over excited and lunge, but, with the help of our behaviourist and his full acceptance of a muzzle, this has improved enormously. If he comes across other dogs out on a walk, his main goal is to just get past them, although he can be reactive towards them meaning he will need to be the only pet in the household and have no visiting pets. The perfect forever home for Kobie needs to be a quiet, pet and childfree environment with an experienced owner who is home most of the time. Someone patient, confident and with a calming loving nature who just wants a “best mate” would be ideal. We will ask you to meet Kobie several times at the rescue, taking things slowly whilst you build up a relationship with him.
