Sweet Lucy é uma menina pequena e carinhosa que procura um lar tranquilo e amoroso. Ela é uma jovem muito inteligente que gosta de aprender e se envolver com os seus cuidadores. Lucy já aprendeu o seu nome em um curto espaço de tempo e está praticando verificar as caminhadas para obter recompensas deliciosas. Lucy prosperaria com adotantes que possam continuar construindo sua confiança escolhendo áreas de caminhada tranquilas onde ela não precisará se preocupar em encontrar cães soltos. Como um galgo que passou toda a sua vida em boxes, ela pode achar ambientes movimentados abrumadores e, portanto, preferiria um lar mais tranquilo e um ambiente de caminhada mais calmo. Assim como muitos outros galgos ex-corredores, Lucy chegou até nós sentindo-se um pouco rígida e desconfortável, mas fez progressos fantásticos no nosso cuidado. Ela atualmente consulta um fisioterapeuta que a ajuda a continuar a desenvolver força e mobilidade. Por causa disso, Lucy seria mais adequada para um lar onde ela não precise lidar com muitas escadas. Lucy se beneficiaria de um lar experiente com galgos que será paciente, permitirá que ela se adapte no seu próprio ritmo e introduzirá gentilmente a ela ao mundo exterior enquanto ela continua a aproveitar confortos do lar. O amor que ela recebe será devolvido sete vezes. Prefere não ser deixada sozinha por longos períodos e precisa de uma introdução gradual à vida em casa. Sweet Lucy is a petite and affectionate girl looking for a calm and loving home. She is a very bright girl who loves learning and engaging with her handlers. Lucy has already learnt her name in a very short space of time and is practising checking in on walks for tasty treats. Lucy would thrive with adopters who can continue building her confidence by choosing quiet walking areas where she won’t need to worry about encountering off-lead dogs. As a Greyhound who has spent all of her life in kennels, she can find busier environments overwhelming and would therefore prefer a quieter home and walking environment. Like many ex-racing greyhounds, Lucy arrived with us feeling a little stiff and uncomfortable, but she has made fantastic progress in our care. She is currently seeing a physiotherapist who is helping her continue to build strength and mobility. Because of this, Lucy would be best suited to a home where she won’t need to manage lots of stairs. Lucy would benefit from an experienced greyhound home who will be patient, allow her to settle at her own pace, and gently introduce her to the wider world while she continues to enjoy home comforts. The love she receives will be returned sevenfold.
