Luna is a stunning 11-month-old German Shepherd, weighing around 30 kg. She came into Islay Rescue due to a change in her family’s circumstances and is now looking for a loving, committed forever home. This lovely girl is incredibly affectionate and enjoys spending time with people. She especially loves a cuddle and having her ears tickled — although, at the moment, she has the most amazing ears that she hasn’t quite grown into yet! Luna walks well on the lead and gets on well with other dogs. With careful introductions, she could potentially live happily alongside a resident canine companion. Luna previously lived in a home, and we have been advised that she is toilet trained. She has not yet met cats, but this can be arranged if required. Luna is a clever girl who already knows the sit command and absolutely loves her treats — particularly a little chicken or ham! These will be a great help as she continues to learn and develop her manners. Although Luna is a beautiful young lady, she is still very much a puppy. Her new family will need to be prepared to make a long-term commitment to her, including continuing her training, providing plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, and helping her grow into the wonderful adult dog she has the potential to become.
