Our clinic vet was in Sardinia again for a spay/neuter mission in May 2026. One of the dogs to be neutered was the nice Mastro. And Marco then had a special request for proTier to find a home for him. Of course, our vet immediately agreed, as the dog turned out to be very lovable and friendly. And on top of that, his special story tugged at the heartstrings. Mastro had come to the Canile as a puppy, and when a Sardinian family contacted the shelter to adopt the little one, it was clear they were doing the right thing for the small fellow. And now, five years later, the shelter in Rifugio learned that Mastro had not had a good life at all, but had spent all those years as a chained dog... They were deeply shocked, and Mastro was immediately taken away from his wretched "home." Now, Mastro should get the chance to find a truly beautiful home with loving people in Germany, where he can be happy with a close family bond. Unsere Vereinstierärztin war im Mai 2026 ja wieder mal für eine Kastrationsaktion auf Sardinien. Einer der Hunde, der kastriert werden sollte, war der nette Mastro. Und für ihn hatte Marco dann auch eine spezielle Bitte, und zwar dass proTier für ihn ein Zuhause suchen solle. Natürlich sagte Unsere Tierärztin auch sogleich zu, denn zum einen zeigte sich der Hund als sehr liebenswert und freundlich. Und zum anderen rührte auch sein spezielles Schicksal. Mastro war als Welpe ins Canile gekommen, und als sich eine sardische Familie meldete, die den Kleinen gern adoptieren wollte, war man überzeugt, das Richtige für den kleinen Kerl zu tun. Und nun – fünf Jahre später – erfuhr man im Rifugio, dass Mastro keineswegs ein gutes Leben hatte, sondern die ganzen Jahre als Kettenhund leben musste … Man war zutiefst erschüttert, und Mastro wurde sofort aus seinem elenden „Zuhause“ weggeholt. Nun soll Mastro durch uns die Chance bekommen, ein wirklich schönes Zuhause bei lieben Menschen in Deutschland zu finden, bei denen er bei engem Familienanschluss glücklich werden kann.
