One thing her new owners will definitely need to know about Maya is that she's something of a little escape artist! She has a habit of climbing onto places she probably shouldn't, so she'll need owners who can keep one step ahead of her adventurous nature. Maya doesn't need a garden, but if her new home does have one, it must not have mesh or ladder style fencing, as Maya is rather partial to putting her climbing skills to use! Maya is a sweet 3 year old Patterdale who has come to us as a stray and is now looking for a loving home to call her own. As we don't know much about Maya's previous life, she may need some support with housetraining, and any time left home alone will need to be built up gradually as she settles into her new routine. Maya can have a nervous side, but underneath this is an incredibly sweet girl with lots of potential. She can live with upper primary school age children and will need to be the only dog in the home for now while we continue to assess how she feels around other dogs. With patience, understanding and a little creativity, we think Maya has the potential to become a wonderful companion.
