Minnie e Teddy têm um vínculo muito forte e adorávamos encontrar-lhes um lar juntos. São o dobro da confusão e 100% o dobro do amor! Estes dois fazem tudo juntos e apreciam imenso a companhia humana. Sente-se com eles e não tardará até estarem a subir para o seu colo à procura de atenção. O Teddy pode ser um pouco reservado em ambientes novos e pode ladrar quando se aproximam dele, inicialmente. No entanto, responde bem a uma interação suave e depressa procura mimos e atenção. Teve pouca socialização com outros cães, mas, em geral, não demonstra reações negativas e fica feliz por cheirar outros cães. A Minnie também é um pouco insegura perto de outros cães e pode ladrar quando se sente nervosa, embora seja geralmente simpática. Ambos beneficiariam de uma socialização contínua, num ambiente calmo e controlado, para ajudar a ganhar confiança. Juntos, o Teddy e a Minnie são pequenos personagens brincalhões e cheios de energia, que adoram correr por aí e podem ser bastante vocais, sobretudo quando ouvem barulhos ou veem movimento no jardim. Ambos vão precisar de mais treino, em especial para andar com trela e para aprender a fazer as necessidades em casa, incluindo visitas regulares ao jardim. O novo dono terá de ter muito tempo e paciência e de ser capaz de passear com eles separadamente nas fases iniciais do treino. Experiência prévia com Dachshunds seria uma vantagem, ou então um dono que tenha pesquisado a fundo a raça e compreenda as suas necessidades, incluindo possíveis considerações veterinárias. Minnie and Teddy share a very close bond and we would love to find them a home together. They are double the trouble and 100% double the love! These two do everything together and thoroughly enjoy human company. Sit down with them and it won’t be long before they’re climbing onto your knee looking for attention. Teddy can be a little reserved in new surroundings and may initially bark when approached. However, he responds positively to gentle interaction and soon seeks out fuss and attention. He has had limited socialisation with other dogs but generally shows no negative reactions and is happy to have a sniff. Minnie is also a little unsure around other dogs and may bark when feeling nervous, although she is generally friendly. Both would benefit from continued socialisation in a calm, controlled environment to help build their confidence. Together, Minnie and Teddy are playful, lively little characters who love running around and can be quite vocal, particularly when they hear noises or spot movement in the garden. Both will need further training, particularly with lead walking and house-training, including regular visits to the garden. Their new owner must have plenty of time and patience and be able to walk them separately during the initial stages of training. Previous experience with Dachshunds would be beneficial, or an owner who has thoroughly researched the breed and understands their needs, including potential veterinary considerations. These two affectionate little characters have so much love to give and will certainly bring plenty of happiness to their new home.
