Miss&Mister Dog 2024, May 4, Piazza San Carlo, Lugano, starting at 10:30 AM. Registrations are still open. The Red Carpet of Miss&Mister Dog is ready to elect the finalists who will compete on Saturday, June 1st, within the Dog Village, created for the event "Lugano a 4 zampe," in the beautiful setting of Parco Ciani. This will be the sixth and very fun edition of the beauty and popularity contest proposed by the Swiss Association Forza Rescue Dog as part of the renowned event "Lugano a 4 zampe," a charity event that presents the world of dogs in its entirety. It's all very simple: 1) you register online through the website www.luganoa4zampe.ch 2) you pick up your number at the Forza Rescue Dog Info Point half an hour before the show 3) you go on stage and after a brief introduction you walk along the Red Carpet to give the jury the opportunity to express their opinion/vote. 4) at the end of each category, the top 10 finalists will be elected who will qualify for the final on Saturday, June 1st at Parco Ciani. • Senior females, from 8 years old • Senior males, from 8 years old • Fantasy females • Fantasy males • Purebred females • Purebred males At 10:30, our judges will start the selections, beginning with the Senior category open to dogs 8 years old and above, without any size, breed/non-breed, or color restrictions. Then there will be categories dedicated to mixed/breeds, followed by the purebred dogs' parade, both divided into males and females. 1) dogs must be over 6 months old and be properly microchipped and registered in the Canine Registry 2) dogs coming from abroad must have a passport and valid rabies vaccination 3) being respectful of animal welfare, no choke collars or any coercive tools will be accepted 4) for everyone's peace of mind, dogs that are not social should be equipped with a muzzle, which they can remove only on the Red Carpet during the parade. An exceptional jury, composed of qualified judges, breeders, veterinarians, journalists, and sector professionals, will select based on different criteria according to the category, the dogs' beauty, and also their popularity. Among all participants, three pairs will also be selected to compete for the title "Tale cane, tale padrone," which rewards the similarity between the dog and owner and vice versa. Miss&Mister Dog and Lugano a 4 zampe are "totally charity" events, and the entire proceeds will be donated to the Non-Profit Association Forza Rescue Dog for the support and care of all the strays they handle every year, as well as for the construction of the new animal shelter, which, in the near future, will be able to accommodate a larger number. In case of bad weather (we will announce it on our online channels), the event will be moved to the MAC 7 Hall, Lugano Exhibition Center.

Il Red Carpet di Miss&Mister Dog è pronto per eleggere i finalisti che si sfideranno sabato 1o giugno all’interno del Dog Village, creato per l’evento “Lugano a 4 zampe”, nella splendida cornice del Parco Ciani. Questa di Lugano sarà la sesta e divertentissima edizione del concorso di bellezza e simpatia proposto dall’Associazione svizzera Forza Rescue Dog nell’ambito del rinomato evento “Lugano a 4 zampe”, manifestazione charity che presenta il mondo del cane a 360o. E’ tutto molto semplice: 1) ci si iscrive online attraverso il sito www.luganoa4zampe.ch 2) si ritira il numero di partenza presso l’Info Point Forza Rescue Dog mezz’ora prima della sfilata 3) si sale sul palco e dopo una breve presentazione si cammina lungo il Red Carpet per dare la possibilità alla giuria di esprimere il proprio giudizio/voto. 4) al termine di ogni categoria verranno eletti i 10 finalisti che avranno accesso alla finalissima di sabato 1o giugno al Parco Ciani. • Femmine senior, dagli 8 anni in su • Maschi senior, dagli 8 anni in su • Femmine fantasia • Maschi fantasia • Femmine di razza • Maschi di razza Alle 10.30 i nostri giudici daranno il via alle selezioni che avranno inizio con la categoria Senior aperta ai cani dagli 8 anni in su, senza esclusione di taglia, razza/non razza e colore. Seguiranno le categorie dedicate ai cani meticci/fantasia, per poi terminare con la sfilata dei cani di razza, entrambe suddivise in maschi e femmine. 1) i cani devono avere più di 6 mesi d’età ed essere regolarmente chippati e registrati in Anagrafe Canina 2) i cani che arrivano dall’estero devono essere muniti di passaporto e antirabbica in corso di validità 3) essendo rispettosi del benessere animale, non si accettano collari a strozzo né alcuno strumento coercitivo 4) per la tranquillità di tutti, i cani poco socievoli dovranno invece essere muniti di museruola che potranno togliere unicamente sul Red Carpet nel momento della sfilata Una GIURIA d’eccezione, composta da giudici qualificati, allevatori, veterinari, giornalisti ed operatori del settore selezionerà con criteri diversi in base alla categoria, la bellezza ma anche la simpatia dei cani in gara. Tra tutti i partecipanti verranno inoltre selezionati 3 binomi che concorreranno al titolo “Tale cane, tale padrone”, che premia la somiglianza tra cane e padrone e viceversa. Miss&Mister Dog e Lugano a 4 zampe sono eventi “totally charity” e l’intero ricavato sarà devoluto all’Associazione No Profit Forza Rescue Dog per il sostentamento e le cure di tutti i trovatelli di cui si occupa ogni anno e per la costruzione del nuovo rifugio che, in un futuro molto prossimo, potrà ospitarne un numero ancora maggiore. In caso di maltempo (lo segnaleremo sui nostri canali online), l’evento sarà spostato presso la sala MAC 7, Centro Esposizioni Lugano.
