Mocha precisará de um lar dedicado e energético com donos comprometidos com seu treinamento e desenvolvimento emocional. Ela pode viver com crianças com mais de 16 anos que compreendam cães jovens e brincalhões, mas ela necessitará de suporte contínuo com reatividade canina, instinto de caça, perseguição a tráfego, controle de impulsos e aprendizado sobre como se acalmar. Ela se sai bem com exercício físico e estimulação mental, e seus adotantes devem estar preparados para investir tempo em treinamento estruturado, idealmente trabalhando próximos à equipe da Dogs Trust. Devido a histórico de ansiedade de separação, Mocha não pode ficar sozinha inicialmente, e qualquer tempo de saída deve ser construído gradualmente e pacientemente. She thrives on both physical exercise and mental stimulation, and her adopters must be prepared to invest time in structured training, ideally working closely with the Dogs Trust team. Due to a history of separation anxiety, Mocha cannot be left alone initially, and any leaving time must be built up gradually and patiently. Having lived a very sheltered life, she can find new environments overwhelming and will often seek reassurance from her humans. She’s a sweet-natured girl who enjoys cuddles, grooming, and playing with her toys, which are a great tool for building a bond and supporting her ongoing training. Mocha can become overexcited and “pingy” when overstimulated, particularly when meeting new people, and may bark at unfamiliar individuals in the distance out of frustration. She has some experience walking alongside other dogs but remains very under-socialised, showing mixed behaviours ranging from playful to nervous and vocal. Because of this, she will need to be the only pet in the home and would benefit from continued muzzle use in busy dog areas.
