Peanut, or also affectionately called “Nussi,” is an 11 ½ year old Belgian German Shepherd mix female dog. She is rather skeptical of strangers and barks loudly at them. If someone does not respect her “dance circle,” she would also snap. “Nussi” needs someone who can give her the time to get to know her in peace. She is easily bribed with treats, but once the treat is gone, she falls back into barking. Once she has gained the trust of a person, she is an absolute cuddle bug and enjoys physical contact and cuddles very much. Other dogs find Peanut behind the fence very interesting, with her preferring the males over other females. If then another dog is brought into her run, she finds this very suspicious and tends to give the other dog a wide berth. Walking with her is not a problem with male dogs. Peanut goes well on a leash, is accustomed to a muzzle, is house-trained, and does not destroy anything. For Nussi, we would best like a single place where she can have all the attention of her people to herself. As she is more of an insecure female dog, there should be no small children in the household.

Peanut, oder auch liebevoll „Nussi“ genannt, ist eine 11 ½ jährige belgische Schäferhund Mischlingshündin. Sie ist fremden Menschen gegenüber eher skeptisch und verbellt sie lautstark. Wenn jemand ihren „Tanzkreis“ nicht respektiert, würde sie auch schnappen. „Nussi“ braucht jemanden, der ihr die Zeit gibt, sie in Ruhe kennenzulernen. Sie ist über Leckerlies gut bestechbar, ist das Leckerlie aber weg, fällt sie wieder ins Verbellen. Wenn sie das Vertrauen zu einer Person gefasst hat, ist sie eine absolute Kuschelmaus und genießt körperlichen Kontakt und Streicheleinheiten sehr. Andere Hunde findet Peanut hinter dem Zaun sehr interessant, wobei ihr die Herren lieber sind, als andere Damen. Wenn dann aber ein anderer Hund mit in ihrem Auslauf ist, findet sie dieses sehr suspekt und geht dem anderen Hund eher aus dem Weg. Mit Rüden ist es unproblematisch, mit ihr spazieren zu gehen. Peanut geht gut an der Leine, ist einen Maulkorb gewohnt, ist stubenrein und macht nichts kaputt. Für Nussi wünschen wir uns am Besten einen Einzelplatz, wo sie ganz und gar die Aufmerksamkeit ihrer Menschen für sich alleine hat. Da sie eher eine unsichere Hündin ist, sollten keine kleinen Kinder im Haushalt leben.
