4 male & 1 female found animals/free roaming or indoor living Born 01.06.2026 & 15.06.2026 (Diavola) Neutered [] yes / no In shelter since 10.08.2026 ________________________ We test each cat with a rapid test for FIV ("cat aids", information here!) and FeLV ("cat leukemia", information here!) and clarify the status. We inform here about the risk of FIP disease ("peritoneal inflammation"). ________________________ The five kittens were secured together with their mothers Pasta and Pizza and other cats in Rauschenberg. More cats could be secured on site and safely accommodated with us at a foster home. The uncontrolled reproduction of cats, which are also sick and neglected, is one of our biggest issues. They live in a foster home near Marburg and can be visited there by appointment (contact via the animal shelter). The cat family came to us with a stubborn cold, which has now passed. The two mothers and their little ones Pesto, Ragù, Cacio, Pepe and Diavola are slowly looking for their homes. The little black Pesto is the king of the group. From the beginning, he was relaxed and open in dealing with us humans. His siblings, on the other hand, are still quite reserved, they are all skeptical at first, but can be convinced with treats and playfulness. They are kitten-typical playful and curious. Little Diavola is probably the only kitten from Mama Pizza, the others are the little ones from Mama Pasta. Ragù, Diavola and Pepe are still very shy, but can also be touched and gain more self-confidence from day to day. Only little Cacio is still struggling, both in the group and with us humans. He needs a home that gives him the necessary patience and time to build trust at his own pace. The beautiful Ragù would like to move out with his brother Pesto. He benefits very much from Pesto's extroverted and relaxed nature. Diavola and Pepe make another very harmonious double pack. For Cacio, we are looking for a home as a second cat to a social first cat. Ideally, a companion who is not intimidated by his uncertainty and shyness and can live the relaxed life with us humans. Cats are, in general, very social animals that place a high value on contact with their fellow humans. We do not want to take this away from the young cats and therefore do not mediate them in single housing. They can move into pure indoor housing (ideally with a balcony) or, after neutering and when they are old enough, be accustomed to outdoor access in cat-friendly surroundings. We hope that the little ones will find a loving home quickly and can fully overcome their remaining shyness. Interested parties for kittens should be aware that the sweet little ones will inevitably become adult cats that have a hopefully long life of 15 to 20 years ahead of them. The decision for kittens should therefore always be made in the long term and not based on the undeniable cuteness factor. → Detailed information (as of 22.09.2026) Pesto: Ragù: Pepe: Diavola: Cacio: (Click on the pictures to see them in full size!) It can always happen that an animal shows itself or develops differently here in the animal shelter as well as in the new home due to changed circumstances.
