Rachel é uma menina muito assustada que veio até nós de um criador. Ela está claramente sobrecarregada com seu novo ambiente e não teve muita socialização antes. No entanto, desde que está conosco, ela começou lentamente a mostrar pequenos sinais de progresso à medida que começa a perceber que está segura. Ela procura um lar com adotantes experientes com cães ex-reprodutores assustados que possam oferecer a reassurance e a estabilidade que ela precisa para continuar construindo sua confiança e aprendendo sobre confiança e gentileza. Ela precisará de um lar somente com adultos que possa oferecer um ambiente calmo e previsível onde ela possa tomar as coisas no seu próprio ritmo. Rachel is a very scared girl who has come to us from a breeder. She is understandably overwhelmed by her new surroundings and clearly hasn’t had much socialisation before. However, since being with us, she has slowly started to show small signs of progress as she begins to realise she is safe. She is looking for a home with adopters experienced with traumatized ex-breeding dogs who can provide the reassurance and stability she needs to continue building her confidence and learning about trust and kindness. She will need an adult-only home that can offer a calm and predictable environment where she can take things at her own pace. Rachel will also need at least one kind and confident resident dog to help guide her and provide comfort, as she can still become easily overwhelmed, but does take reassurance from the presence of other dogs. Rachel has never lived in a home before, so she will need very patient and understanding adopters while she learns about house training and how to walk on a lead. The big wide world still feels quite scary for her, but she is beginning to show curiosity in safe environments, and gentle time in the garden will be a great way to help her slowly explore and build confidence. Rachel is only acting out of fear, but we are starting to see glimpses of a softer side as she begins to relax in familiar surroundings. She has so much potential and, with time, patience, and kindness, she will begin to understand that she is safe and loved. She just needs a truly understanding home to help her blossom into the dog she is meant to be. Rachel has come to us with a pea-sized cyst on her shoulder, which has been removed at the time of her spay. Rachel will need more than one meet and greet with her prospective adopters to allow her time to build a bond and feel comfortable with them before being adopted. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
